> 3 dayI bought this very expensive unit in the US. The first serious rain it stopped working - even though it was under the original protection rubber cover. I am now located in another country. Trying to access Garmin support chat, I get booted out immediately, with a very impolite message with red graphics telling me Im a dangerous hacker. So I try different ISPs - all get the same message. What they mean to say is they will absolutely not engage me for one second if I am not talking to them from a US IP address. There is a Garmin website in my country - but it is not Garmin, it is some local company. They will also not support since I didnt buy from them. This is what disreputable companies do - refuse to engage their customers directly and pawning them off to distributors. I had no idea that Garmin was one of those companies. I will never buy another Garmin product again.

> 3 dayDon’t expect that the user interface will be as easy as a smartphone. No, before watching a YouTube video you cannot use it. But you can track your hours long journey without suffering from Strava app is easy to crash on any Android phone.

> 3 dayI have posted this review in Edge with some extras first, but I think prospective buyers should be aware of a few things.

> 3 dayI love this thing. Its a great upgrade from the old Garmin Edge 1000 I had previously. I also use their Vivosmart 4 watch to get my heart rate data, and I use their smart headlight and radar tailight and a stages power meter. The 1030 perfectly integrates with these other devices without any hiccups, along with the gear information from my Di2 groupset, and getting all my data combined on the Garmin Connect app and its syncing to Strava is flawless. I am very happy with this expensive, but handy computer. You wont improve your training flying in the dark - you have to collect data and then get the analysis/feedback. Garmin does this at a very high level without frustrating the user.
