> 3 dayNot much to say. The connections are well-built and the cable jacket is very thick and you can feel the quality. CAT6 might be an issue for me as the system has issues and wants CAT5E (I know, dont ask). But no matter what, I can use this for my non-powered 4 XLR cable snake as well as Dante or AES50.

Reviews and Information
> 3 dayI was initially put off by how rigid the cable was, but looking inside explained it. This Ethercon cable is sturdy. It has a center divider core separating the pairs, a foil shield, then a copper shield, then the plastic cable jacket, and then over that another more rubbery jacket. That means it does have a fair bit of coil memory and takes a little work to get it to lie flat in a corner, but it should stand up to a lot. The shells hold well in sockets, and electrically it checks out in terms of pinout.

> 3 dayHad an ethercon that was making intermittent connection, so I used this one to replace it. It has been flawless. Cable construction is obviously very good, very durable. Connectors are well made. I have no complaints about this ethercon cable.

> 3 dayYou might be unfamiliar with Ethercon cables. Electronically, theyre no different than your standard CAT6 RJ45 ethernet cable. The difference is the connector. And while most standard RJ45 cables will work with an Ethercon jack, the reverse is NOT true. Ethercon cables cant be used with most network cards, etc., as they have a far more robust retainer to make pulling them out more difficult. These are a part of GearITs ecosystem of devices, useful for audio snakes, carrying DMX for lighting, or AES for digital audio. These are situations where you DO NOT want a network cable to pull out accidentally, as it can set off an apocalyptic range of audio madness. The Ethercon connector prevents that. When its snapped in, youre protected against all but the most abusive situations. Theres only one word to describe GearITs version of the Ethercon cable. HARDCORE. As in almost overkill, but the confidence level in these holding up is100%. They come in varying lengths. I ordered the six, ten, and fifteen-foot versions. All are equally well built. So much so, I was actually quite surprised. On top of that, theyre very well packaged, with their website, tech support phone/email and hours of operation printed right on the bags. The product photos are accurate--thats exactly how they were delivered. This is a case where Id award ten stars if I could. Operation of the cable is flawless. Just phenomenally well constructed and presented. Cant beat that.

Greater than one weekIm in the pro audio business, and these cables are well-suited for the XLR-style EtherCON connections used on many pro devices. Heavy duty, solid construction -- good for the road.

Greater than one weekThe GearIT CAT6 Ethernet Cable, EtherCON-Compatible RJ45 Connectors for Pro Audio, Aluminum Shielded, Oxygen Free Copper - 10 ft. - Black This a cable for carrying audio over ethernet for audio patch boxes etc. that are EtherCon compatible (audio over ethernet). With the correct equipment you can carry 4 channels of audio over Ethernet Cat6 cables. This cable is very well made and very robust. The cable core is a very heavy gage. and has serviceable metal ends. The connectors of EtherCon look like an XLR with an ethernet connection inside, instead of three pins. This gives a very robust connection for compatible floor boxes etc. Audio over Ethernet is a huge leap forward and a great way to run 4 channel audio over a distance. These cables are top notch, and work exactly as they should. This is absolutely an all pro cable. I find etherCon very exciting and have 2 sets of floor boxes I use regularly with this cable. perfect for studio or stage. Great for bands, studios, and DJays. I am very grateful to have these cables in my studio.

> 3 dayThese are amazing when paired with the XLR to ethernet adapters. The hold snugly and transfer sound perfectly. They easily handled phantom power with no loss. Having multi lengths make it really easy to change thee gth of runs between mics and the mixer or for submox runs. The cables are high quality. I will purchase more lengths for more flexibility. Every sound person should have this in the bag.

> 3 dayI got this cable to connect a 4 channel digital snake in my home studio. I am very impressed with how well made this cable is. It works great with the digital snake and sound quality is fantastic. I will use this company again for other cable needs.
