11-06-2025I got this because I wanted to hook something up that took an etherCON type of cable like this. The cable is nice and I tried to look over it without taking the ends off which showed me that this is a well made cable in general. Just know that this is not something that you can pop the ends off of and get good results using it as an ethernet cable. It would probably work for a bit, but those ends are a part of the whole design and Ive taken them off of another cable which didnt work out for me and wasted my money. All in all Id say if you need this kind of cable, you wont go wrong with this companys products. This is the second time Ive used one of their cables, and I have to say that I always know that Im going to be happy with the quality when I come across their stuff.

> 3 dayI missed the fact that its EtherCON capable. While does have std connectors, theyre inside a hard plastic housing so theres no way to plug them into a typical device such as a router or wall plate. Well, there is: I could unscrew and remove the end housing but that would leave the connector exposed and weakened, not how it was intended to be used. My fault for not paying enough attention. I will return this cable as I have no EtherCON connections to use it on. That said, it does appear to be a very high quality cable, no complaints about the that.

> 3 dayThese are amazing when paired with the XLR to ethernet adapters. The hold snugly and transfer sound perfectly. They easily handled phantom power with no loss. Having multi lengths make it really easy to change thee gth of runs between mics and the mixer or for submox runs. The cables are high quality. I will purchase more lengths for more flexibility. Every sound person should have this in the bag.

> 3 dayThis cable is being used with a digital snake on half of my drum microphones. Prior to getting this cable, I tried an unshielded cat5e cable (regular ethernet style) and when +48V phantom power was applied, I got a really bad hum out of my monitor. I swapped that CAT5e cable for this cable and now I have ZERO noise. This is a very well made cable and I highly recommend this product!

> 3 dayThe GearIT CAT6 cable supports EtherCON connections and is made very well and is altogether a quality cable. It handles DMX and analog audio, with the ability to handle stage lights and other compatible equipment. So far it is working great with a DJ setup and we couldnt be more pleased.

> 3 dayThis cable is built very well! It is very thick and the jacket is strong. The connectors are tight and of a very good quality. I connected it to a snake attached to my drum kit and it does the job very well with zero loss in audio quality. Highly recommend!

> 3 dayIf you are using audio or lightening solutions to replace an old-fashioned audio snake, then you will love Ethercon. I am using this cable to connect two GearIt 4 jack XLR boxes, and it works great! I love being able to disconnect everything so that it packs down into a small package, and still only having to have one long length of cable run to the mixer for four different channels. It even handles phantom power without issue. The cable is well made, the connectors are rock solid, and I have no issues with its performance!
