> 3 dayIm in the pro audio business, and these cables are well-suited for the XLR-style EtherCON connections used on many pro devices. Heavy duty, solid construction -- good for the road.

> 3 dayThis Cable is no Joke. Very heavy duty and will last I think quite a while. I used this for some stage lights for a local play. No issues with cable breaking, tearing accidentally coming off or anything. If you need something heavy duty for lights or sound this cable works great.

> 3 dayIf you are using audio or lightening solutions to replace an old-fashioned audio snake, then you will love Ethercon. I am using this cable to connect two GearIt 4 jack XLR boxes, and it works great! I love being able to disconnect everything so that it packs down into a small package, and still only having to have one long length of cable run to the mixer for four different channels. It even handles phantom power without issue. The cable is well made, the connectors are rock solid, and I have no issues with its performance!

> 3 dayCAT6, oxygen-free copper cable in a solid-feeling rubberized jacket with pro-quality cannon connectors (ethercon-type). This is one nice cable! I ordered it, to pair with Gearits 4-channel DMX/XLR Audio extender. This cable works perfectly. The cables cannon/ehtercon connectors click into the extender boxes, firmly- making for excellent, noise-free signal conduction. It is worth a mention that this cable is advertised and labeled as shielded. However, the specification for the shielding isnt stated. Because of this, I assume the cable is CAT6 F/UTP... which means the cable would consist of 4 unshielded twisted pairs, surrounded by an outer foil shield- just beneath the jacket. For shielding at the individual twisted pair level, the cable would have to be CAT6A. That said, this cable is robust, features pro-quality assembly, and yields pro-quality signal propagation. Id buy more.

> 3 dayThis is a very nice cable with a premium feel. I knock a point off the sturdiness as the XLR style locking connector is plastic, but otherwise its perfect. Can work for ethernet or with an EtherCON device, as the inner connector is standard RJ45 (Cat6). In my testing data transfers went as expected and the device performed well. I give it a 5/5, for the pricing and convenience it works great.

> 3 dayI got this because I wanted to hook something up that took an etherCON type of cable like this. The cable is nice and I tried to look over it without taking the ends off which showed me that this is a well made cable in general. Just know that this is not something that you can pop the ends off of and get good results using it as an ethernet cable. It would probably work for a bit, but those ends are a part of the whole design and Ive taken them off of another cable which didnt work out for me and wasted my money. All in all Id say if you need this kind of cable, you wont go wrong with this companys products. This is the second time Ive used one of their cables, and I have to say that I always know that Im going to be happy with the quality when I come across their stuff.

> 3 dayI tested with stereo audio and mic signals over a TRS to ethercon adaptor. I did not observe issues with signals interfering with each other or with outside signal interference. The cable latched in and ejected from the adaptor units as expected with the press of a release button. Appears to be a fairly heavy duty cable. I did not notice any problems or issues with it and dont really see anything that would need changes either.

Greater than one weekThis is rugged cable. I expect that it will last a while in live-sound use as an analog snake. I will test it with my Behringer X32 the next time I have it out, but as Cat6 it does not meet the Behringer technical spec, which is Cat5e. Electrically, Cat6 and Cat5e are electrically different. There are known problems with not using the correct cable with the X32 products, including static zap failure of the interface, which is not covered by warranty (they now have a tag over the jack on new gear stating that use of the wrong cable can cause damage). The cable is fully grounded - end to end. I tested it. The Shell is grounded as well but has paint (or is it black anodized?) on it, so contact may be an issue. The latch clip cut-out is not painted, so it may make sufficient contact. The connector is a decent Neutric clone. Strain relief is good and internal grounding is well made.

> 3 dayThe GearIT CAT6 Ethernet Cable, EtherCON-Compatible RJ45 Connectors for Pro Audio, Aluminum Shielded, Oxygen Free Copper - 10 ft. - Black This a cable for carrying audio over ethernet for audio patch boxes etc. that are EtherCon compatible (audio over ethernet). With the correct equipment you can carry 4 channels of audio over Ethernet Cat6 cables. This cable is very well made and very robust. The cable core is a very heavy gage. and has serviceable metal ends. The connectors of EtherCon look like an XLR with an ethernet connection inside, instead of three pins. This gives a very robust connection for compatible floor boxes etc. Audio over Ethernet is a huge leap forward and a great way to run 4 channel audio over a distance. These cables are top notch, and work exactly as they should. This is absolutely an all pro cable. I find etherCon very exciting and have 2 sets of floor boxes I use regularly with this cable. perfect for studio or stage. Great for bands, studios, and DJays. I am very grateful to have these cables in my studio.

> 3 dayGeneric Ethernet cable, but well made and sturdy. Flexible insulation cover allows cables to be routed easily. Recommended
