> 3 dayGreat cable to go with my network snake. Multiple audio channels can be sent through this one cable with no loss of sound quality. The cable is rugged and ready for life on the road.

> 3 dayYou might be unfamiliar with Ethercon cables. Electronically, theyre no different than your standard CAT6 RJ45 ethernet cable. The difference is the connector. And while most standard RJ45 cables will work with an Ethercon jack, the reverse is NOT true. Ethercon cables cant be used with most network cards, etc., as they have a far more robust retainer to make pulling them out more difficult. These are a part of GearITs ecosystem of devices, useful for audio snakes, carrying DMX for lighting, or AES for digital audio. These are situations where you DO NOT want a network cable to pull out accidentally, as it can set off an apocalyptic range of audio madness. The Ethercon connector prevents that. When its snapped in, youre protected against all but the most abusive situations. Theres only one word to describe GearITs version of the Ethercon cable. HARDCORE. As in almost overkill, but the confidence level in these holding up is100%. They come in varying lengths. I ordered the six, ten, and fifteen-foot versions. All are equally well built. So much so, I was actually quite surprised. On top of that, theyre very well packaged, with their website, tech support phone/email and hours of operation printed right on the bags. The product photos are accurate--thats exactly how they were delivered. This is a case where Id award ten stars if I could. Operation of the cable is flawless. Just phenomenally well constructed and presented. Cant beat that.

> 3 dayHave a decently large home studio facility and I was all too happy to reduce a lot of my XLR cable clutter by switching to EtherCON cables and a few multi-channel XLR over EtherNET extenders I now have two sets of mics (4 each, formerly fully on XLS), connected to a 4 channel XLR over Ethernet box, connected to this EtherCON cable, which runs to the other size of the studio, into the other wise of the 4 channel XLR over Ethernet box, where I have very short XLR runs from it to my board. These cables are also great for DMX for lighting purposes or AES for digital audio as well. And because these EtherCON compatible cables connect like typical XLR type cables they cant just pull out easily, which is great. These cables are REALLY high quality. Would highly recommend.

> 3 dayI bought this as I needed a spare 6 ft cable for my home network in the living room. This unit works perfectly and the cable is very well made and durable.

Reviews and Information
> 3 dayI was initially put off by how rigid the cable was, but looking inside explained it. This Ethercon cable is sturdy. It has a center divider core separating the pairs, a foil shield, then a copper shield, then the plastic cable jacket, and then over that another more rubbery jacket. That means it does have a fair bit of coil memory and takes a little work to get it to lie flat in a corner, but it should stand up to a lot. The shells hold well in sockets, and electrically it checks out in terms of pinout.
