> 3 dayI got this because I wanted to hook something up that took an etherCON type of cable like this. The cable is nice and I tried to look over it without taking the ends off which showed me that this is a well made cable in general. Just know that this is not something that you can pop the ends off of and get good results using it as an ethernet cable. It would probably work for a bit, but those ends are a part of the whole design and Ive taken them off of another cable which didnt work out for me and wasted my money. All in all Id say if you need this kind of cable, you wont go wrong with this companys products. This is the second time Ive used one of their cables, and I have to say that I always know that Im going to be happy with the quality when I come across their stuff.

> 3 dayThis cable is being used with a digital snake on half of my drum microphones. Prior to getting this cable, I tried an unshielded cat5e cable (regular ethernet style) and when +48V phantom power was applied, I got a really bad hum out of my monitor. I swapped that CAT5e cable for this cable and now I have ZERO noise. This is a very well made cable and I highly recommend this product!

> 3 dayThis Cable is no Joke. Very heavy duty and will last I think quite a while. I used this for some stage lights for a local play. No issues with cable breaking, tearing accidentally coming off or anything. If you need something heavy duty for lights or sound this cable works great.

> 3 dayNothing to complain about with this very well made etherCON-compatible audio cable which allows you to send four audio (or DMX) signals over a single CAT6 cable rather than have four long XLR cables snaking across your studio or stage. The cable is thick and robust and clicks-in securely to the GearIT 4-channel extender boxes Im using with the cable. The etherCon-style housings surrounding the RJ45 connectors on the ends are metal - assuring a solid connection with the extender boxes. The plastic RJ45 connectors themselves look rugged and fit securely into the etherCON housing that has a pre-molded metal shape on the inside that the RJ45 slides into to securely orient and hold the RJ45 in the proper position. A professional cable that sounds great.

> 3 dayI wanted to start off by saying this cable does it jobs and works as intended. I wish there was more information to provide, but just for testing purposes, I wanted to make sure the cable was a CAT6, so I unscrewed the end housing to test the quality of the cable and it does in fact handle the correct speeds that are listed in the informational page. This is a quality product and thank you for a great product!!!

> 3 dayI love the connectors on the ends of the cable. But to use unmodified you do need EtherCon tools on both ends. In a pinch you can unscrew the end and there is a standard RJ45 connector inside. If you do this you need to be careful because there is a little over an inch of exposed wiring outside the cable sheath, so it is not recommended. I checked the pinout. It is standard the CAT protocol. Very good quality cable. As I get more EtherCon equipment I will get more of this cable.

Greater than one weekHave not tried it, but I am confident you could tow a car with this cable, while transferring data and not missing a bit. This is a rugged cable. if you dont know what EtherCON is you should make sure that is what you want, it wont fit in a normal jack, but this is a quality cable I would highly recommend.

> 3 dayOverall: Recommended! Simplifies the stage setup and is very dependable over long distances Yep this is a great option for managing long stage setups from stage to mixer. I like the small form factor of the cable itself and also of the 4 channel connectors. Makes stage setup easy Cheers : )

23-11-2024This cable is thick and will be very durable. It took me a bit to figure out how to get the ends out of the shield, but twisting the metal protection and then pulling on it allows the connector to be used. I have a 1 GB speeed connection, and this cable got 911.76 Mbps download speed. My regular Cat 5 cable that I was using before this would never get past 850 Mbps. I was not really looking to increase my speeds. I just wanted something a little more heavy duty as my old Cat 5 cable I was always worried about it getting pinched or someone accidentally putting something on top of it. This cable can withstand a lot more than other cables due to its thickness. I find it to be a very good quality.
