Generic AC Power Adapter Charger for Nintendo 3DS/DSi/XL

My daughter lost her charger for her 3D nintendo and this one works perfectly well as a replacement. I dont know why Nintendo doesnt have the same charger adapters between its different game units or we could have used a plug from her older, non 3D unit. Anyways, we ordered this and now were set, providing she doesnt lose this one :o).

My grandson was given a Nintendo system by a friend but the power adapter charger was missing. This generic adapter was very cost effective (ie, inexpensive) and works great.

Worked perfectly with our 3DS XL.

Since its so cheap, the quality is obviously not good. Mine has yet to combust like some of the other commenters (though thats not to say it wont happen eventually). My biggest peeve about it is that it doesnt allow you to play your DS while its charging. If you try to play while the charger is plugged into it, the screen will flicker and it will stop charging. In addition, it takes MUCH longer to charge than an average charger. Not really that much of a surprise that its a piece of junk, based on its price, but Id say just bite the bullet and pay an extra fee for a legitimate charger rather than this one (that may or may not end up catching on fire).

It works great and charges my Dsi. It does feel a little weak but if you take care of the charger, I am sure it will always work fine.

My daughter lost her 3ds so she wanted to play with her dsi but the battery was dead and of course she lost the charger also. Anyway I ordered this which says it fits 3ds and dsi and I was happy to see that it did. She has the ds lite but that charger is different which boggles my mind why they didnt use the same charger on all of them but I guess they realized it made more since and started doing so.

I gave this product 5 stars for the reasons I am about to explain. Initially, I thought this was a solid 4 star product because the length of the cord is 1. Not easy to find out before purchasing and 2. Not as long as a normal 3DS Charger. My opinion was swayed to 5 stars by two main factors. The first factor is that the price is just perfect. This is something that parents need to buy pretty often if they have kids who use a 3DS, and barring that, the younger audience for the 3DS should also be able to afford this product and they can, with a few days of saved lunch money, or a little allowance. The second factor is that, while I did not officially test this, the product seems to charge the 3DS more quickly that at least my original cable did. When considering everything, I have to say 5 stars on this one. The length of the cable is around 3 feet, 10 inches; it is definitely longer than 12 inches which I saw on one of the answered questions. This product is not compatible with those car-cigarette outlets. Though it is technically travel sized and does not tangle easily. The build quality is obviously cheap, and the aesthetic is as well. Besides all this, there is not much more to add. The product works fine and is shipped promptly, especially for Amazon Prime members. EDIT: After reading some of the negative comments; I left this product to charge my 3DS overnight. It was fully charded before 11pm and I left the cord connected to the system for the entire rest of the night with no issues. I will continue to do so to make sure there arent any issues like the ones I have read. I will post more if anything happens.

My grandson couldnt play his DS or DS HD so Grandma to the rescue...thanks...just what we needed...FYI...always have an extra charger for ALL of your hand held devices...my daughter and grandkids ALWAYS misplace the chargers...makes me look like a superhero!

I bought this as a replacement charger for my 3DS because at the time I thought my charger had gone bad, but it turns out it wasnt the charger it was the 3DS that wasnt powering or charging anymore. I passed it to a family friend so they could make use of it and it works great just like the original charger.

it’s a good charger , but they delivered it to the wrong place first but overall it’s ok .
