Generic AC Power Adapter Charger for Nintendo 3DS/DSi/XL

Although not as good of quality as the original wii unit, it has been a good workhorse of a spare. It is lighter weight than the original but we have had it for at least a month and have no complaints about it.

Something happened to the cord for the grandkids game while they were here, so I got on the internet, looked it up and ordered it while my grandson was here to tell me what I needed to buy. Since I got that input from him, it was the right cord for his game, and it arrived very quickly, so they didnt have to wait long to get their games recharged.

This replacement power adapter has a length that is probably a good 2 feet shorter than the original power cord that comes with your purchase of a Nintendo 3DS XL. I cant speak for the DS, because I dont have one. That was disappointing, because its not really long enough to much of anything with and it doesnt tell you how long the cord is on the description. About 3 feet, maybe 3 1/2.

I brought this after leaving my original charger at my familys house two hours away. I needed something cheap to last me about a month before I could get back to their house to pick it up. This charger works. However, the cord is shorter than the original charger and the actual part that you plug into the wall is very light weight and sort of flimsy. Overall, this charger works in a pinch and now I take this with me when I leave the house instead of bringing the original charger out with me.

Its an adapter, it fit the gaming system, and saved my son from the sadness of being unable to charge his Nintendo DS.

My daughter lost her charger for her 3D nintendo and this one works perfectly well as a replacement. I dont know why Nintendo doesnt have the same charger adapters between its different game units or we could have used a plug from her older, non 3D unit. Anyways, we ordered this and now were set, providing she doesnt lose this one :o).

Besides the fact that this charger died on me after a month (the seller has offered to send me a replacement), the bigger issue is that since its not OEM charger it will charge the battery of a 3DS BUT dont use it while playing the unit. The uneven trickle of electricity causes the screen to flash at regular intervals while playing it. If you just need an extra travel charger to charge the unit while youre not using it, this will work for you (if it doesnt fail) but if youre looking to replace the OEM charger for your device, this is not the charger for you. Also, the cable is not nearly as long as the OEM cable and it doesnt appear to be as long as the cable pictures in the listing.

Works wonderfully! I can charge my DSI and play my old Lengend of Zelda games. Very happy :)
