Generic AC Power Adapter Charger for Nintendo 3DS/DSi/XL

Ive been meaning to find one, perfect for my Dsi, works as intended

I bought this as a replacement charger for my 3DS because at the time I thought my charger had gone bad, but it turns out it wasnt the charger it was the 3DS that wasnt powering or charging anymore. I passed it to a family friend so they could make use of it and it works great just like the original charger.

Son wanted to sell his old Nintendo DS but the charger was broken years ago. So found this and it worked to get it charged. Happy with purchase.

They did an excellent job hiding the fact that the cable is not even 4 feet long. I havent had the product long enough to know if it will last, but this seems to be for charging while away from the system, as playing while charging results in camping uncomfortably close to the outlet. Inconvenient product, cheap cheap price. Good enough

Ordered this charge cord for a device we know works however this replacement item does not have the prongs inside the male end to make connection for charge to occur. Support recent the item and the second one did work.

i bought this thinking Hmmm not a bad price and its new!! i bought it and it came alot faster then i was expecting which i was impressed with. the charger itself does work but its messing my dsi xl up. like the red light for low battery still flashes and it effects some of my gaming. but once i unplug it the dsi is fine. umm if i keep using this will that be safe for my system?

This is our second purchase replacing the first one that failed recently. It works just fine for a Nintendo DS. Not much you can say for a generic adapter charger. Either it works, or it doesnt. In this case, it definitely works. I just hope it last longer than the first one.

Besides the fact that this charger died on me after a month (the seller has offered to send me a replacement), the bigger issue is that since its not OEM charger it will charge the battery of a 3DS BUT dont use it while playing the unit. The uneven trickle of electricity causes the screen to flash at regular intervals while playing it. If you just need an extra travel charger to charge the unit while youre not using it, this will work for you (if it doesnt fail) but if youre looking to replace the OEM charger for your device, this is not the charger for you. Also, the cable is not nearly as long as the OEM cable and it doesnt appear to be as long as the cable pictures in the listing.

When I first ordered this adapter, the package showed up empty. It was just a sealed bubble package with nothing inside. Contacted amazon support and they sent out a replacement the next day. When I finally got the adapter, it worked as intended for about 3 months before a 1000uF capacitor inside of it blew. I opened it up, desoldered the bad capacitor, and soldered in a replacement part with a higher voltage rating, and had to cut a chunk out of the plastic encasement to make it fit, but the charger works again. Its made with cheap components, so dont be surprised if a capacitor breaks after a few months. If you know an electrical engineer or EE student, feel free to ask them to replace a capacitor in this when it stops working. Youll know which capacitor it is because the top of the capacitor will be rounded and not flat.

Ordered this for an old DSi that had been stored for years. It does charge but fits a little lose. Just dont move it once you get it charging.
