It would appear that the manufacture updated the description after I purchased the device and after someone posted their first review, negatively reflecting my next point. The original description didnt mention that all of the USB ports are controlled together by one button. I still look forward to using this product, and it appears well built and functional. If it performs well over time I will up the stars.

I have yet to get this product to connect to my Wifi. If your system does not separate 2.4 ghz vs 5 ghz and you can not manually separate them it will not connect to the Wifi. I tried calling my provider to have them split the two and due to the type of router, it could not be split.

It kept going offline mood and was never been getting back online. So reset it. Try to add it up again, again, and again. After several attempted, decided to return before its too late.

I was pleasantly surprised that it was much smaller than its illustrations. It is very much plug and play when it comes down to physical installation. (literally) Just like most BT devices it goes into immediate pairing mode once powered up. The main reason I wanted this was to increase my 2.4G Wi-Fi signal around the house. All my smart devices want only that connection as well as the Smart Power Strip. The signal 2.4G signal was boosted as promised through out the house. The only hic-up I ran into would be the pairing. The instructions are very tiny, and I missed the Gosund App install, at least at first. Once installed on my Tablet the app did not find plug and I had to manually search for it with success. After that there were no further issues and my Google Assistant found it easily.

I tried *so many times* to set this thing up and nothing worked. Checked my wifi (2.4GHz), got it to flash quickly as instructed, etc., etc... Nothing worked. Kept bugging out. Told me the app version was out of date when I had *just* downloaded their available app. Never was able to connect. Absolutely terrible.

I cant get this device connected, and in the attempt, had to download a very strange app that seems pretty much only to want access to EVERYTHING on my phone including the camera? Instructions tell you to download the app but dont give you the name; instructions are very unclear and also written in such a way that makes them difficult to read. Unfortunately I waited to try to set this up until after the return window had passed.

This is nice compact little power strip with some smart features built in. I will preface this by saying I have not tested the smart functionality yet since I didn’t really need it for that. What I was more interested in was a compact on-the-wall power strip that wouldn’t take up too much space. I will note that the instructions that came with this power strip aren’t the best. As far as the power strip functionality is concerned, it seems to work great. I am happy that it comes with built in surge protection; that helps set my mind at ease a little when plugging in electronics. As far as build quality and functionality, this little power strip seems to work great and be well put together. It does have three USB’s along the top, which is a really nice addition. I also like that there is a little stabilizer peg built in that inserts into the ground pin of the unused outlet. This definitely helps with stability when plugging and unplugging items. So far, in power strip only mode, it seems to be working great. I have no complaints for the price point, especially considering the built in smart home functionality.
