Giro Fixture MIPS Adult Mountain Cycling Helmet

Bought this helmet a few months ago so ready to give a review! I wear a 7-7/8 fitted hat. I bought this helmet in extra large. What a great fit and looks normal on my head. Would definitely recommend to others!!

Product color does not match image, multiple people agreed with me. Its more of a grey with orange, than the black with yellow as the image suggests. Also I selected two day shipping and it took four. I am returning this product.

I have been riding my bike with this helmet for a few months now and I am very happy with it. It is lightweight and comfortable. I love that it has ventilation holes and makes it easy to scratch my itchy head while still wearing it. It looks good and is a great product

I am so glad I bought this. I always have trouble finding hats because I have a larger head. The XL is the perfect fit. I have room to tighten the bands so it is exactly how I want it and the helmet sits deep on the head. I would point out the color is a lighter gray than the picture but I actually like it more. Just thought I would mention it. This helmet was exactly what I was hoping for. A bit more than the inexpensive bike helmet the bike shop sold me but it is definitely worth it. If you are looking for a larger helmet, go with this one.

Good looking helmet but has some flaws. It is comfortable and more than likely would do its job in a fall. It’s also a good looking helmet. The two flaws I’ve noticed are that it dents and dings easy. If you drop it or toss it down the shell will dent easily (too easy); and don’t clean it with rubbing alcohol. I cleaned a 2” x 2” spot on the helmet to attach an adhesive GoPro mount and it took the matte finish off and left a high gloss area. If I was just cleaning the helmet without the intent to install a mount I. That spot I would have been upset. I just wanted to warn users to only use a light dish soap and water to clean it. I’m still satisfied but would think these two flaws wouldn’t happen with this brand.

Just crashed HARD on it. MIPs really works! Took a direct hit to the top of my head, and as I landed, shifted to the side. I could actually feel my head shift inside the helmet transferring the blow...not only did I walk away, I finished my ride feeling strong! Helmet fits great and vents well. one of the best helmets Ive owned

Great fit and function!

When I purchased a Segway e-Scooter, I decided I should protect my head, both because I should, and because I want to set a good example for my son. I know very little about helmets, but the first one I tried from another brand wasnt comfortable, and this one seemed to have a bunch of decent safety ratings. Then I noticed this brand is sold a lot at a nearby fancy bike shop that sells ridiculously expensive bikes to people who take biking really seriously. I figured that if those guys spend thousands on a bike, and then trust this brand for their head, it must be a good brand. The fit is very comfortable, even in hot weather it seems to keep me cool. It is very lightweight, and the adjustments allowed me to easily get comfortable. All in all, it seems like a decent helmet at this kind of price point, and I believe the protection level is as good as it needs to be for the kind of activities I intend to use it for. I also enjoyed the color choices, I was able to match the color to my scooter. And I dont feel like too much of a dork wearing it. Definitely worth considering.

Great helmet, comfortable, lightweight, no impact on visibility. Havent tested the most important feature: the protection. Hope I never have to. But it feels solid.
