The best fitting, most comfortable bicycle helmet Ive ever owned. Following the measurement instructions, I was only 1cm under the upper limit listed for the regular adult size, and I considered the large version, but decided to give the regular one a try. Im glad I did! It fit perfectly right out of the box! There isnt much adjustability with the straps; only the chin strap length can be adjusted, not the ear yokes, but fortunately they fit me fine with no issues. The visor is slightly lighter in color than the helmet shell, but the difference is minute and at least on mine, barely noticeable. I like the size of the visor, and the vents do a good job. The MIPS protection at this price point is awesome. Ill be sad if I cant find this helmet again when its time to replace this one!

I think we now own 3 of these—kids like the look, Dad likes that it is MIPS and high-viz. and now that I ride with one too I can attest to the comfort. Adjusts easily to fit most.

When a friend chastised me for keeping my chinstrap very loose, I said it was just too uncomfortable that way. The longer I road, the more it annoyed me, to wear I would hate biking, and avoid it. So I compromised--always wearing the helmet, but with the strap loose. He explained that I might as well not be wearing it. Id get minimal protection, but it was nearly the same as no helmet, so I was riding unprotected. And one brain injury could doom me for life. What I realized was that Id just wasted that money buying a cheap helmet, because Id effectively bought almost no helmet. Comfort = safety if it gets you to wear it, and wear it right. I was kind of skeptical that a more comfortable helmet would make a huge difference, or that the change would be that noticeable. Wow. I put it on my head, and it felt fine. What I discovered was the other helmet was irritating me regardless, so adding one more irritation with the strap was kind of over my tolerance limit. And the strap itself was uncomfortable, but it also cinched the annoying helmet tighter against my skull, irritating it more. This one feels like barely having it on. I love it, and wearing it properly every day. (Plus, while researching, I learned about the new (newish?) MIPS system, and I have no idea how much difference it makes, but the price bump was only about $10, so if it might save my head, best money I ever spent. Ive had it about 2 months now, and still loving it. (Its well-ventilated and cool, too. I guess I mention that last, because my cheap model had that too, so Ive not experienced a big change. When I opened the Giro package, my buddy said, They look the same! The older one was clearly a knockoff, so they got the ventilation right, but not much else.

The straps arent adjustable around the ears, the visor is so high that it doesnt block the sun at all, it sat on my head to the left and couldnt be fixed no matter how I adjusted the inside cushions, the chin strap wraps around your throat and not the chin, and its huge on the sides, which probably has to do with the mips protection, which is what is needed to meet the standard.

I was so worried ordering a helmet that claimed to be XL, however when this came in and I tried it on, PERFECT!!! I wear a size 8 to an 8-1/8 hat so even finding a hat to fit is hard, and helmet? In a store? Forget it... but I read a few reviews and took a shot on this, especially for the price. And this bad boy actually fit and didn’t look like a yamaka on my head. (Big head guys know what’s up) Love the venting to keep my head cool, visor and even the chin strap comfy with a lil room to spare.

Works for my big head, and infinitely adjustable to find just the right fit. Low-key stylish and good quality - a steal for the $45 I paid.

The Giro MIPS system really creates a very comfortable, not bulky, fit. grat coverage in the back. Looks super sleek.

The helmet looked great, but I had to return it, since the chin clip felt like it was choking me. I dont know if there was a way to adjust it, but looking at my uncles giro chronicle, some adjustments are what you get for more money. Im sure protection would be similar, but the chronicle had more padding.

This is a great helmet, lightweight, comfortable, adjustable. I have no complaints.
