Giro Fixture MIPS Adult Mountain Cycling Helmet

Very comfortable, good amount of adjustment, lightweight. The only problem is the visor falls off all the time. Light hits from branches is all it takes. I hot glued mine on, problem solved.

Thankfully, I haven’t yet had tested this helmet’s head protecting properties. But, on all the other things that I have tested, it came out with flying colors. Speaking of colors: My copy us exactly as illustrated. It’s lime safety green, definitely not yellow. It’s highly visible day or night which is very important to me. I have a 61cm head, just at the limit of the listed size range. It fits perfectly and has a little extra room in case I don’t get a hair cut. It’s very comfortable. I like the adjusting mechanism and the interior build quality. The helmet is very light weight and works fine with sunglasses. The ventilation is adequate even on hot days. It does have a visor, but I wish it were a little larger. Overall, this is a great value. Edit 10/04/2020 I still really like this helmet. But as the sun has gotten lower in the sky I’ve found that for me the visor is not large enough. I have sensitive eyes, and I’ve been riding into the sun at low angles more often. I’ve started wearing a visor under the helmet. It looks strange but it works. I still wish they sold a larger accessory visor.

Great helmet. Lightweight MIPS and comfortable at a decent price. Cat also approves of the boxes so added bonus!

So many helmets are listed as xl when in fact they’re just larges being labeled as xl.

Good color. Seems to be effective but Ill let your know when I crash.
