Giro Fixture MIPS Adult Mountain Cycling Helmet

This helmet is great. It’s comfy, adjusts to not wiggle when aggressively riding, and gosh darn it looks good too. I have a head on the larger side for a female (no womens styles work) and this helmet is perfect. It’s not super sleek, but doesn’t feel like a melon sitting on your head. Get it!

This helmet replaced my old helmet after I had a minor crash. I like how it adjusts using the dial in the back. I also like the look of this helmet. The MIPS system feels a little bit strange as it allows the helmet to move slightly on your head, even though the strap is snug. However, this function is meant as an added protection in the case of a crash. It doesn’t take much to get used to it, and a lot of helmets are going to this system for added protection in case of an impact. I like the matte finish on the helmet, and I like it’s mountain-bike style. I will buy another helmet just like this when I am on the market again.

Very comfortable helmet and seems sturdy. Cinn strap could be a little longer but it works and forces me to wear it properly. Great styling and vents well

Mainly posting this review to help other buyers, not to dis the product/store. I would buy this helmet again. Pros: Good build quality Good coverage Cool looks Breathable Good value for entry level mips Cons: Padding very slim - This was almost a deal breaker for me. The helmet became very uncomfortable to wear after 15-30 minutes. (Note: Sizing and fit are good, its very similar to my old helmets dimensions and shape) Tip/fix: I took off the padding from a different helmet (red in picture) I had and put it on this one. This totally resolved the issue for me.

Works for my big head, and infinitely adjustable to find just the right fit. Low-key stylish and good quality - a steal for the $45 I paid.

I will sometimes take the bus to work, and then ride the bike home. Great for the commute.

Comfy and light

Love this helmet. This is my second fixture. I only bought this one because I wanted to switch up the color. Pretty comfy and provides a decent amount of ventilation. This helmet is also designed in a way that allows you to strap on a helmet light or camera. Price isnt bad either. You can not adjust the visor but that is not am issue to me.

This is my second of these helmets. First one literally saved my life. Horrible bike crash landing on my head. The MIPS kicked in beautifully and I had no concussion. Wife won’t let me ride now without this kind if helmet.

Great helmet! Fits well and doesn’t move around during the ride. Plenty of ventilation. I ate it pretty good and went over the bars for the first time going downhill. Shoulder took the brunt of the fall, but I also smacked my head pretty good. I’m confident that I’d probably have a concussion if it weren’t for this helmet. Get this helmet!
