> 3 dayWow! This stuff sticks! As a first time user, it was a massive education. The previous owner of my car had sealed the sunroof shut. But the seal was old enough, it was leaking again anyway. And since it was sealed shut, I couldnt get to the drain holes to clean them out. Nobody professional would touch it with a 10 foot pole, so I was left with the most drastic of measures. To seal it this way. Even though I measured everything 3 to 4 times, it still came out with a few surprises when trying to put it on. But even cutting some of it on the fly, and also a tiny bit of overlapping when I specifically didnt want to do that, much to everyones surprise it looks shockingly good. Just know these things first: 1. Once you stick a small piece down, its NEVER coming up again. 2. There is a tiny bit of adhesive around the outside of the tape. If that gets on your car, the glue is there for life so be careful. 3. Tuck the extra adhesive under the tape as best you can, or it will be visible forever. I used a steel ruler edge for this in the few places it was showing. 4. The tape stretches. This can be an advantage or disadvantage, depending upon how you use it. Knowing ahead of time would have helped. 5. The wrinkles in the tape cannot be pressed or rollered out. So avoid using those pieces at all cost. Even if it means buying an additional roll. Trust me. Its worth it. 6. To clean the adhesive off your scissors and/or exactoknife, use nail polish remover. 7. Since this is permanent, choose something to trace rounded corners for you to cut evenly. It looks so much nicer, and is worth the extra effort. 8. It was used on a trailer over in high desert country where it gets WAY hotter and WAY colder than it does here, and that was 20 years ago. Its still doing just fine over there. So the promise of UV protection, and hot/cold resistance they claim is no joke. Hope all this helps. By the way, girls... Im a girl and I managed to do this all by myself with an audience of men just standing around watching for amusement. So put on a trashy t-shirt, some fun music, and show em we arent completely helpless after all. You can do it!

Greater than one weekI am using this to waterproof a door threshold that has asphalt shingles lapped under it. The asphalt shingles cracked under foot traffic. So I am using this to lay over the asphalt and tuck under the metal door threshold to fix a water leak problem. (its a storage space in a two story car garage, and this area gets rain water when it blows against the door.). what I had to do, to make this work is remove the top layer of sand embedded in the asphalt shingles so this tape will lay flat with no voids and all the edges will hold down. This was much cheaper to fix a problem that trying to replace the asphalt shinges (the previous owner glued them down). I used a 6 inch metal scraper to remove the surface sand in the asphalt under the shingles were flat. Then I applied this gorilla patch tape. For extra grab, I used a heat gun while rolling a 6 metal pipe (like a bread roller), starting from center and working out toward the edges. This really helped the adhesives lock into the asphalt. I expect this repair to fix a water leak that was going to eventually cause lots of problems with the framing under the door threshold. Not bad for less than 20 bucks. good stuff

> 3 dayThis tape is insanely sticky!! I have a mid 90s truck with some rust in extremely common areas. The truck is primarily used to transport stuff to the dump or when blizzards hit, so I have little desire to do a lot of rust mitigation. But, if I can limit the rate of rust, Im all for it. After cleaning the areas I was applying tape to, I then took a propane torch and heated the metal a bit. I then took off measures pieces of the tape and stuck them on the clean warm metal. I then gave them a quick blast to really heat the adhesive up before pressing it onto the permanent position. The tape will not move. It is absolutely sealed around the edges and I have no doubt it will provide some protection to my old truck. If you are having problems sticking this tape, I would stand back and really try to evaluate why. Have you removed the liner that keeps it from sticking to itself on the roll? Is the part it question freezing cold or dirty? The reviews here stating that the tape just falls off are almost unbelievable honestly. This stuff is incredible.

Greater than one weekImagine you are camping. The fireplace is crackling, and you are toasty warm inside your camper while it is 40 degrees outside and mist / raining sideways outside because the wind is howling. Now imagine your son walks into the main area of your 5-er and states: Ha, I bet someone in the campground has a leak and it is raining in on them right now. Fast forward 15 minutes and we realize that one of our rooftop fan lids shattered when we were pulling into the campground because it is now raining into our camper. My son and I grabbed the Gorilla tape and climbed onto the roof to make the repairs. Had to use a sharp knife to cut the tape, but we were ablr to fix the shattered lid in the rain, it was amazing. Tape held so well, it made replacing the lid difficult when we got home from our trip.

> 3 dayI recently lowered the suspension on my Jetta and within hours had run into a slab of concrete while parking the car; doing awful damage to my skid plate (recently replaced because of another accident). It was hanging low and dragging on the ground. Quite annoying. I wound up finding this on Amazon and thought Id give it a try. I was able to put it back together is short order with this tape. Its held up for 3 months already and Im quite impressed. It even filled gaps where the plastic had been torn away. I was expecting that it might harden up after a while, not sure where I got that idea, but it doesnt. It stays flexible and sticky. Its a great product for temporary fixes and even semi-long terms; depending on the application. Great for fixing seems, connecting parts and filling holes. Its a little tricky, taking the plastic film off and, once off, it will stick to anything, so be careful with it. I cant imagine removing it, ever; maybe with some crazy toxic solvent.
