The text beyond the line is the review from a different reviewer named Mark from June 21, 2022. I literally screenshot his review so I could repair my own 1,200 gallon vinyl pool. I had only one tiny hole spurting water on the seam of the side and the bottom. I couldn’t find the patch that came with the pool, so I was hoping for some sort of solution. So far, after one week, so good! I will add, be conscious about where you set the tape roll when not in use. It is so sticky that you’ll ruin any paper or susceptible materials with the adhesion of the side of the tape. ______________________________________________ Okay, so this is Gorilla Tape. Gorilla tape works, we all know this. But what about underwater? So my brand spanking new vinyl liner pool decides to spring not one, not two, but three leaks on its first fill up. 3000 gallons of water to fill this thing up, I wasnt going to empty it! I live in a desert, I felt guilty enough filling it up, emptying it out to fix a hole and then refilling, no way. So I researched a ton of different patches and came across this product here on Amazon. The reviews were weird. Yes, I read them just like you are doing now. Some say it didnt stick at all? Another says it comes off the roll really loose. Here is the scoop - there is an error on the directions for this tape. So, lets do two things here together - One, know you are not wasting your time, get this product. Right now, dont waste time! Two, read below on a couple of important but easy steps on using it. 1) The directions tell you to cut off the piece you want and then round the corners. Here is something important: Do NOT - guys, read that again - do NOT - use your wifes good scissors or the ones in your knife rack. Dont do it guys. The residue left behind was like crazy glue. It sticks! Your best bet is using a decent pair of scissors and making your cuts in one smooth motion. This will prevent goo from getting on your scissors. 2) AFTER cutting, get to where you need to place the tape and then REMOVE the transparent liner over the sticky part of the tape. The directions never tell you to remove this liner! Well, to those people with the negative reviews, they didnt remove the liner. Once you remove it, watch out - it is sticky as can be! Try not to touch the sticky part!! We took the tape, sticky exposed, went underwater, and stuck that bad boy right where the pool was leaking. Pressed all the air out, pressed down on the edges, then just stood on it for a few minutes. Did this for all three holes and not one has leaked again. Okay, so it isnt as pretty as some of the other patches, it is a big black piece of tape. But it works and works fast and it is easy. Buy with confidence.

We live in an RV. I had to make quite a few cuts to repair things under the RV. This product is ridiculously easy to install and at the same time extremely difficult to remove. That is what you need in a product like this. I wish I had purchased something like this from the beginning instead of going the cheap route originally.

Best tape I have ever used, Sticks to everything even your fingers. And it DOES NOT COME OFF, So get ready to place it where you want it the first time.

I used this to seam pond liner in streams between ponds. It does a good job but cannot be repositioned once set in place so make sure you have everything prepared. Water will eventually seep through under a running stream especially if the seam is not completely flat. I solved this issue by painting taped seams with liquid rubber neo pond sealer.

Works great for what I used it for, not sure Id slap it on a boat and head out into the ocean...I used it on some planters that have water reservoirs that were leaking, for the most part this tape did help but the angle I needed to stick it wasnt smooth, so it wasnt 100% leak proof, a little water still leaked out. I also used it on the sharp edges of wood, on a structure I was screening in for my plants, to avoid the screen netting from tearing. It works great for that! Its definitely weather proof, because its been through a lot of storm and its still holding up! The only thing that bothers me, is that its hard to cut without getting sticky, hard to remove glue off the scissors...Ill have to find some kind of solvent to clean them. But the point is to make it sticky and strong...so maybe use a disposable razor blade to cut it.

Used for sealing the small hole in the pond. This is not for heavy duty.

Gorilla products are normally great, but this product was far from that. I tried to wrap up a low pressure waterhose that had a small cut in it but the water pressure ripped right through this tape. The tape stayed stuck to the hose but within less than 1 minute had a large slit ripped open in the side. It may work better for other repairs because it is very sticky on 1 side, but it did not work well for me.

I bought this for an underwater item and had originally bought flex tape, but when I needed more I found this- which was cheaper and actually had better reviews, so I took a chance a bought this instead. I was impressed at first because I thought for sure it would hold. It’s basically tape with this super adhesive glue all over the sticky side, which once applied, you are suppose to “rub vigorously” to adhere all the glue inside. Sounded great. I should mention i’m using this to connect a pond filter to a plastic pipe.. I had an emergency and needed a new filter by morning so I looked on here and found a similar one but it has the wrong male/female parts so it doesn’t attach correctly.. which isn’t really the end of the world because until I get that dealt with, tape works just fine. It’s been about two years now and this is only the second time i’ve had to replace the tape. Okay so I put layers of this tape on and really work it in and let it dry in the sun for like an hour. It was fine for about two weeks and then it completely came undone. The pressure blew the filter right off, and I was really surprised bc previously I had used shipping tape (lol it was all I had) and that held almost two years! So I decided to use electrical tape to fix it all nice and tight and put a layer of this on top. So far knock on wood everything is great, but this tape isn’t as effective underwater as other tapes.
