> 3 dayFun filler game when you have a bigger group and just as good with fewer people. Easy to learn, but there is definitely room for some good strategy.

21-11-2024My family are huge fans of the game Wizard. Weve played it a lot and are hugely competitive, Skull King takes the concepts from Wizard and turns them up to 11. Skull King is an amazing upgrade for us from Wizard, taking the core game play that we love so much and amping it up. Skull King is riskier, the highs are higher and the lows are lower, but even when you are losing you are having a great time. The custom cards in the set are delightful and I really enjoy the departure from the more traditional card format by having a trump suit/color that never changes and the additional card in each suit. One of my favorite things to do in Wizard is to bid zero and take the challenge of avoiding taking each trick. Skull King makes even this more interesting by having much more rewarding (and damaging!) scoring for bidding zero, as well as other scoring bonuses which add depth to the game. I see Skull King as our new family go-to game and look forward to many more hours of enjoyment.

> 3 dayWe bought this game after playing it with friends, it is so fun to play, and I love that it comes with a fun recipe to try. The rules are a bit tedious but it’s kind of played like the game spades without partners. This is definitely more for older kids since it takes more strategy. The game creator is easy to contact when you have questions too!

> 3 dayOur family has five children ages 8 to 20 and all enjoyed playing this game. It was easy to learn and has been played countless times over the past month. The most challenging part to learn is the scoring. But after using the instructions and practicing on keeping score, it became easy for an adult after about three games.

> 3 dayThis game is so fun! I love the probabilities involved, and that winning isn’t necessarily all up to chance. It is a bit of a complex game (which I would say makes it more entertaining), but the rules have great infographics and examples to help in learning. Looking forward to playing it for years to come!
