love this game so much. we have several Grandpa Beck games. We’ve had questions during game play twice and have called grandpa beck and he answered both times. such a fun guy!!! after our call tonight we just ordered two more that he said were some of his faves. we actually have two copies of this game now because we love it so much and the first copy got worn out. can’t wait to get the new ones we just ordered!!! thank you, Grandpa Beck! ❤️

We love this game. The scoring is a little bit to keep track of, but the game is easy to learn. We love the expansion. The addition of the kraken and mermaids really makes it fun.

What a great family game! We got Skull King a while ago, maybe around Christmas and still love to play it. Its been such a blast! Its a go-to for family night

This game gets boring really quickly. Weve played it maybe 15 times and the last couple had a bit of a dread factor to it. The yo ho ho thing might work for kids but just seems dumb. It seems like they kind of stole the game spades and the look of the cards from a solitaire game ive played online. I guess it works in a pinch but its already ended up in the closet for us.

I was looking for a fun game for Christmas and found great reviews for Cover Your Assets. I bought it and we loved it so much we played it almost every day. My daughter-in-law wanted to get a set to play with her family so I got her one for her birthday. Then I decided to get another one of the Grandpa Becks card games and ordered Scheming and Skulking. Now we play this one almost every day. Its fun because the strategy changes depending on how many players are playing. Im sure well be ordering another game from Grandpa Beck soon!

Fun game that is easy to learn and enjoyable for the whole family. We need more games like this for family time.

Another retired couple introduced my husband and I to this game a few months ago. I have been a family game player my whole life; my husband enjoys only a very few games. Grandpa Becks Skull King is one of those games. At first I felt intimidated by the bidding, but that did not last long. I had so much fun and realized quickly that what other people play has a lot to do with whether I bid successfully. I will worry about strategy later; right now Im having too much fun playing!! We gave the games as Christmas gifts this year. At this stage of our lives, we work with members of the military, mostly young. We will give this and other Grandpa Beck games to them as they deploy and to the families who stay behind. I want to give a shout-out about Grandpa Becks customer service: Amazing!!! This game hits just the right spot between too simple and too complicated. We had so much fun! I was skeptical of the name, but its just pirate themed. Everyone says Yo-ho-ho at the start of each round, but other than that its just artwork about pirates. We loved the game play itself--an interesting combination of Hearts and Uno.
