Fast-paced game with straightforward rules. Played the basic version of the game with my retired parents and they couldn’t stop raving how much they loved it. Can’t wait to play the more advanced, competitive version with my siblings.

I don’t understand why it seems that everyone’s getting a different set of cards. My friends ordered it and had to buy the expansion to get the mermaid, craken, whale and gold coins. Other than that ours seem pretty similar. Also, I think I received a used and returned box. The cards were not in plastic, and in random order, and someone had played a game and used the score sheet. I made sure all the cards were there, but I am a little bummed that this happened. Love playing this game though!

We play a game almost every night after supper.

This game is essentially Rook with a few twists. I like Rook better, but this was still fun nonetheless.

This game is so addictive and so incredibly fun!! Fairly easy to learn, but once you do, be prepared - the game can change quickly from round to round and each time you can be surprised by who wins! Some luck, some strategy, TONS OF FUN!! My 11-year old loves to play games and this is our new favorite!

Of all the games the family got this Christmas, this is by far the favorite. I have a large family, and we love playing games. This game was easy to learn and goes very quick, starting with a Yo, Ho, Ho. It is very challenging and risky, especially when you think youll win the trick with a certain card only to have it trumped. (You have to bid the exact amount of tricks you think you can take. If you get it wrong, bad things happen.) The scoring can be tricky at first, but if you can add, subtract, and multiply by 10 youve got it. I plan on giving this game to my friends as a gift.

We really enjoy playing this game with friends and family. We play it often, and we haven’t gotten bored with it yet.
