01-04-2025In my photo, Audiopipe is on the left and GS Power is on the right. Un-stripped they are about the same size. Stripped with the same tool you can see the considerable difference in how much wire there is. The Audiopipe insulation is really thick, and if thats what matters (not how much current it can handle) then that is the wire for you. What many sellers DONT say is that they are selling CCA (Copper Clad Aluminum), rather than pure copper wire. Its hard to see in the photo, but each strand of the Audiopipe wire really is a different color on the inside. You can solder it due to the copper coating, but its not copper and that means it will expand more when heated so Id avoid clamp connections. The bottom line is that if you really need 12 AWG and you dont want aluminum wire you should pay the extra price for GS Power. They are honest about what they sell.

> 3 dayThe insulation is thick. The red and black can be pulled apart from each other, no cutting needed, yet they are bonded well enough that they will not separate on their own. The wire is true to size. I used it in a small solar project, and the wire crimped well in some 45amp Anderson connectors and M4 connectors. Quality is such that I plan on order rolls of other gauge wires from this same seller.

> 3 dayI brought the 25ft roll to upgrade existing old speaker wire connections I had. These are sized proper for 12 gauge and are real copper strands and not CCA (copper clad aluminum). A lot of heavy gauge speaker wire available now are mostly CCA which is more brittle and conducts less electricity per the same wire size. I was glad to find this one though. It may not be in a clear vinyl jacket or look fancy but it is high quality wiring to be used for home stereo speaker wire connections.

> 3 dayPurchased to connect my mobile and backpack rigs to an Astron PSU. Excellent stranded copper wire, holds shape well with good insulation and binding between +/-. Definitely worth it. Having a 12v project, this is the wire you want to use, especially if its for anything automotive like radios or amps.
