Greater than one weekAfter seeing a few supposed deals on speaker wire, this came on my radar. The reviews looked good. I trimmed off one end with a good wire cutter and took a good look with a magnifier. Yes, it is real copper. I checked its size with a 30 amp (12 gauge) Powerpole terminal, and it fits exactly. The strands are just right for going in without fighting. I have used the red/black Radio Shack zip cord over many years, and the insulation on this wire seems to be at least equal, if not better. I have not tested it for heat resistance.

Greater than one weekThere are too many uses for these wires. I used it to wire my trailer, connect speakers and many other projects. Will buy 10G and 12G wires in the future. These can be soldered or clamp, and these wires dont oxidize like cheaper copper plated wires

> 3 dayI bought a spool of this for an application where I needed very little voltage drop along a long string of LED lights. (I plugged each ~3 foot strip of LEDs into a bus made of this wire, along a 30-foot total length.) It seems like genuine 12-gauge wire, and was at a good price, considering how expensive copper is these days. Good value, and accurate description.

> 3 dayWire is well made and crimps and solders with no problem. Doesn’t fall apart. Replacing solar panel wires and interconnected battery wires. Using too for Ham Radio power lines.

> 3 dayIts pretty good stuff. It is NOT tinned and its heavy enough to be 100% copper. I believe its a PVC jacket

> 3 dayI use this wire for building battery packs and power supplies. It is high quality and decently priced. The only drawback is when I am soldering with high heat the pvc jacket will melt easier than other wire I have used. This doesnt matter to me because I always use shrink tubing after soldering the wires. Without shrink tubing, the results may be a little less than professional looking.
