> 3 dayThis zip-cord has the typical PVC insulation in red/black color but also has an additional clear jacket covering the PVC. That clear jacket (not sure what material it is made out of) is slippery and abrasion resistant. There are pros and cons to that. The obvious advantage is that this cable pulls easy through raceways or conduits and even pulling it around a sharp corner is unlikely to damage the cable. The downside to that extra layer of insulation is that it also resists any attempts to strip the insulation to terminate the zip cord. If you look at some of the negative reviews you will find that people are easily irritated by the difficulties of stripping the insulation from the wires. However Im happy to spend a little extra effort when I have to terminate a new cable knowing that it will resist damage when used in a portable/mobile environment. I did not have any problems separating the red and black wire. I did not attempt to test whether it is truly 12 awg (but it appears to be) nor did I test whether it is pure copper.

> 3 dayUsed this wire to extend the reach of a 12v air compressor. It is much heavier gauge wire than what the compressor uses do I should have no issues with current draw.

Greater than one weekI used this to run some heavy 12 gauge copper wire for new brakes added to a trailer. Knowing that my brake controller could easily pulse out intermittently up to 20 amps I wanted to get the full force of braking. This wire was well made and very beefy in the copper as bright and shiny as it should be. Very good stranded copper wire absolutely 12 gauge or maybe even a little bigger and a very high quality sheathing on top of it. I absolutely would buy this again.

> 3 dayI use this stuff for powering ham radio equipment. The stripped wire just fits in a 30A Anderson Powerpole crimp end. Makes great interconnect wires.

> 3 dayThis is what I expected and it worked fine for my needs. My gripe is that real copper wire is expensive. However, my review focused on the quality.

Greater than one weekWire is well made and crimps and solders with no problem. Doesn’t fall apart. Replacing solar panel wires and interconnected battery wires. Using too for Ham Radio power lines.

> 3 dayBetter than most wire, and would recommend. Except for cost, and wire size. I felt it lacked a bit. That said.. easy to solder and easy to work with.
