I like the temperature control. I missed out on the old pistol designs before Hakko stopped production so this is the next best version for my uses. A smaller spade tip would be a handy accessory for this package.

The seller Grandeurr Goods sold it used and said it was new. Maybe the actual new one works and is great but pass on buying from them unless you want a used piece of garbage and want to waste your time with a return.

This is by far the best iron for doing stained glass work that I have been able to find. I do stained glass work for a living, and this is the only iron I will use. If you are using it all day every day like I do, the heating element will go out after about a year. But Ive found that is true with most irons. This one is consistently as hot as I need it to be, and reliable, and will continue to be my iron of choice for my work.

The recovery time on this iron is great!! I was beginning to think it was me... The cord is longer than the Weller one that I was using. Love this iron will never use another brand again. The seller was quick on delivery. Very Happy would buy from them again.
