Cant conect the app is out od date and it does not work with 5ghz internet

I could never get the blue plug to sync and work with the app. I gave up and it’s just and pricey plug now.

I’m using this and two other smart plugs. My only concern is that the instructions to set them up / connect to the wifi are not accurate. The SmartLife app is not exactly as described in the instructions and the pairing does not match either. It seems that the process and app had been updated since the printing of those instructions packed in the box that I received. The other complain is that you can schedule the day/time to turn on the plug, but you cannot schedule when to turn them off. Every day you have to reset the timer to turn it off. Not well designed or thought thru.

Nice 3 outlet device. and its waterproof thus can be used outdoor Before you plug it in download and install/run the HBN app per directions ( QR Code did not work for me) With the HBN plug each outlet can be controlled independently and use timed controlled scenes. It works with Google and Alexa, but can only control the entire device and NOT each individual outlet. It would have been a great option if can use Alexa or Google to control each outlet and not all 3 at once

I was not able to get this set up with the instructions included in the box. The page numbers were all off and half of the pages were missing.

Easy setup

Very easy to connect and it stays connected. The separate timers are awesome.

Bought this to replace the BN-Link version, which doesn’t have individual outlet control, for Christmas lights. Plugged in, set up, and tested before installing lights and worked as expected. It’s a good addition to the Kasa KP400 and POWRUI power strip already being used. The only problem is specific to using the new Nest Wifi Pro system and you can’t use Easy Setup mode. The Nest system doesn’t allow for shutting off the 5Ghz band so you have to use manual pairing to connect on 2.4Ghz.

I plugged in two sets of outdoorChristmas lights (originally it was going to be three, never got the third set up) and programmed the on/off times. It went off and on at the correct time very day. The plug hangs under the overhang of my room so it doesn’t get snow or rain, the coldest temperature so far has been 12 degrees F. It work exactly as I needed it too. It’s a little bulky, as you can see in the photo bd there wasn’t. Way to hide it in the needed location - that may not be true for your application. I gave four stars because the set up directions are confusing and could have been written better, they also could have been written in something other than a micro-sized font.
