> 3 dayI really like these smart switches. The smart phone app is great. Why pay more when these will get the job done well. We have a fountain in our entry way. I dont want it to run while we sleep -- an easy program schedule has the fountain and the spot light turning off and on in unison. Especially during the holiday season, save money by programming a schedule for lights to turn on/off is sooo easy. I couldnt be happier. I bought 3 of these switches and have them all working for me.

> 3 dayFirst, the it could be much better news: The documentation, pictures, manual (if you can call it that), etc, are incomplete, unclear, etc. For example, my specific product isnt list on their site, there isnt a picture of my product, the app tells you to do things that are impossible (press the reset button when there is no such button), etc. Now, the good news: Once you understand how to get it connected (that is, the setup stuff), SO FAR, its really a great product! The apps button turns the light(s) (or whatever) on/off very smoothly and quickly. I had a couple lights that had switches that were hard to reach and/or twist. With this little gadget, I can use Alexa, the app, or the buttons to turn those lights on/off. Beef up the administration/infrastructure and youll see lots of 5-star ratings.

> 3 dayI watched videos on Amazon, YouTube and others on YouTube that a QR code on the package directed me to along with reading the enclosed instructions that were in the package. It still took me over two hours to set it up to work remotely. Once I got there it worked as well as any device I use with Alexa and theres the convenience of in effect having an added outlet. Id buy it again.

> 3 dayI purchased a smart plug with 2 outlets and one with three outlets to light my outside Christmas lights. I was using a typical remote control unit that’s outside rated until I found this product. Despite my skepticism, it was extremely easy to set up and is working very well even in the -33 degrees Fahrenheit windchill we’ve been expressing for the last few days. I am very impressed and happy with this purchase. Will definitely recommend this product.

> 3 dayWorking well so far, its only been a month. It was a little tricky getting it to recognize my wifi but that is more a user learning curve than a product issue.

> 3 dayPerfect for my Christmas decorations around the house. I don’t need to get up to see if I remember to turn all the christmas lights/decorations off. I can control them now on my phone. BUT, I had a hard time installing or pairing it to my phone. Here’s my situation and how I solved it and made it work after an hour. First, make sure your wifi 2.4GHz is on. I have verizon fios and though I have a dual wifi connection, I’ve only been using the 5Ghz. I couldn’t find my 2.4ghz on my wifi list. So I did some research and had to turn off or disable the SON under wifi settings on fios app. Unplug my router and plug it back in after a minute or two then bam! it shows up. So when I got my phone connected to 2.4, I went ahead and start the pairing. This thing didn’t come with instruction so I went back to this page and read the manual. You will need to download the app “smart life” or simply scan the QR barcode in the back of the device. Then you will need to set the device up on pairing mode by press and hold either of the white button and the light blinks and it should be now visible on your phone. Then connect. Now, if you want to connect your phone back to 5Ghz(because I think it’s much faster than 2.4) all you gotta do is connect your device to alexa. Then you caan forget about the smart life app really because you can navigate or control your device thru alexa. As long as your device is connected to the 2.4ghz network your fine and that’s all that matters. I hope this helps! I highly recommend this and I might get one more set. F

> 3 dayI bought a set of 8 of them a while ago and love them they work great and are super quick to use. This newest batch came and the box was all crushed and they were all over the place in the bag. Ill edit my review if theyre not working after testing. As for the first batch I only had occasional days where a routine in Google home would not trigger a switch to power on or off for our bearded dragons light. All in all great though and will most likely buy more.

> 3 dayGreat purchase, I use them for tumbler turners so that I can set a timer and turn them off automatically. Space was a hot commodity in my plug in spots, and this took care of that. Its slim enough to be able to allow a socket on either side to still be fully free.

> 3 dayI got really frustrated trying to set up these plugs. I intended to connect them to my Alexa, but the initial HBN app connection was so confusing that Im worried the Alexa set up will be just as painful. I was stuck on one of the first steps because it told me to turn the outlet on with the power button. Not sure why it says that because there is no power button!!! My husband had to step in and figured it out for me, and thank goodness for him. (Instead of a power button, you just hold down one of the front arrow buttons while its plugged in until it flashes blue. At that point, the app should detect the outlet and the setup is straightforward from there) Despite the headache, so far I really like these plugs. Believe it or not, but the painful setup wont deter me from buying more smart products made by HBN.
