> 3 dayI bought two smart plugs. The smart plugs work great and were easy to pair with my Alexa devices. I will definitely be buying more for me and my family.

Greater than one weekGreat purchase, I use them for tumbler turners so that I can set a timer and turn them off automatically. Space was a hot commodity in my plug in spots, and this took care of that. Its slim enough to be able to allow a socket on either side to still be fully free.

Greater than one weekSo far I like it. But I cant say too much about the original HBN app, because I deleted it and I am currently using the Smart Life app instead. The instruction leaflet that the socket came with can use a little updating. It was confusing and it took several tries to add the smart socket to the app. The app itself was not too confusing, but it still took several tries to connect the device. Then when I went to link the socket to my Alexa it gave me an error in the Alexa app. It said the app was not current. Well I was not able to update the HBN app, possibly because it is the most recent version. Alexa then also gave me an option to switch to the Smart Life app. At first I thought oh is this the updated version and since I already had the app for my other sockets I use, I just switched over and everything just automatically linked after I connected the app to socket. What a breeze. It turns out the Smart Life app is a totally different app all together and it seems to serve as a catch-all app for many of the different brand devices out there. In fact the other sockets that I was already using the app for were for a totally different brand.

Greater than one weekI spent over an hour trying to get this to sync with my Wi-Fi. I know I have 2.4 because I have other things linked to it. Little disappointment, will be returning

Greater than one weekI use these with Smart Things and IFTTT to create a remote trigger to control room heaters. I think they work perfectly.

> 3 dayI read the reviews prior so I knew I needed the Smart Life app. It took a few minutes for Alexa to pick up on the signals but it finally connected. I love how I can turn one outlet on without the other one.

> 3 dayOne of the two did not turn on and would not connect to Wi-Fi or anything. Ended up tossing it in the trash. The other one works awesome. I must have gotten a dud. EDIT: I ordered a second pair and these ones worked perfectly. Using them to turn a lizard light and heater on and off. Light during the day, heat at night. Works great.

> 3 dayFigured these would be pretty straightforward - some fancy plugs. What could go wrong? Well, first of all they’re huge, so just make sure you have space for them. Second of all, you cannot use these without creating an account through their app. Like cannot use them whatsoever. I mean maybe they work as normal outlets, but that’s not why you’re here, and that’s not why I bought them. I also found out later that since these are WiFi only (and not Wifi + Bluetooth) you can’t really use these for a wifi router. Even though I learned this too late and couldn’t return them, I ended up buying the Govee plugs instead and those have been super awesome. Both the product and the app work much better than with this one. The Govee ones are also much higher quality for the same (or lower) price. I definitely recommend those as a first choice! These feel like fisher price plugs in comparison. Good luck!

> 3 dayTwo of these for 20 dollars? Thats the deal of the century! I have to admit that I was a little skeptical over getting two of these devices for little to nothing, but Im glad I rolled the dice! The account setup and integration with Alexa was seamless. The only negative thing I have to remark on was that I never did (after several attempts and following the directions to the letter) get the auto-scan to discover the devices. I wound up adding it manually, but the first attempt at adding manually worked perfect. So now that complaint is completely irrelevant. I am using this device to control the nightstand lamps in my master bedroom, and this item is PERFECT for that application! With Alexa I can now control each nightstand separately or give the command to turn them off and on together with just a few words. George Jetson only wished he had one of these babies! Lol
