So far this 8 quart HexClad pot has been terrific! Ive been trying to put it through the paces by cooking bacon, roasts, etc. When making a pot roast it browned the meat very well. The browning was nice and even. It was also completely non-stick. More so than when browning my meat in my Dutch oven! Also just like my Dutch oven I was able to put the whole pot, lid and all right in my oven for the three hours that it took for my roast to be fork tender! It is also much lighter and easier to handle than cast iron. Being 8 quarts gives me a lot of room for stews, chili, soups and so on. Now I havent tried taking a blender to this to prove that you can abuse it and not cause any damage. The unique non-stick surface is extremely well made and I dont anticipate any problems down the road. This is a great, large pot that should last for years and years!

This is a really great stock pot. If this hadn’t been up for review, there’s no way I could’ve purchased a $200 pot. When it arrived, the packaging was impressive. The lid and the pot are individually wrapped in a dust bag. The interior of the pot is really beautiful. It has laser etching, which is supposed to provide a nonstick surface allowing you to cook while using less oil, grease and butter. This pot consist of 3 layers. Stainless steel, aluminum, then another layer of steel that is diamond etched. This provides a durable, even heated non stick, no scratch pot. This pot is safe to use up to 500°. What I like most is that it is scratch resistant. Most of the pots I buy, after a year or two, I have to throw away because they have been scratched during washing or with cooking utensils. This pot says that you can clean it by scorching or using steel wool pads. Honestly, I can’t imagine taking steel wool to a $200 pot. If it’s truly nonstick, why would you need to use steel wool? Main important thing is to properly season before your first initial cooking. It’s simple to do. Bring your pot to a medium-low heat. Use 1 teaspoon of vegetable oil. Leave it on the heat for 2 to 3 minutes and that’s it. HexClad offers a lifetime warranty.

This is by far the best stock pot Ive ever used. The meat I browned for soup didnt stick at all and browned so nicely; making a really rich beef broth for my soup. This pot has weight but isnt overly heavy and the lid is the same; both are very well made. Its easy to clean, looks just as beautiful after using it as it did before and you can use whatever utensils you like on the non-stick surface. I cant see ever needing another Stock pot again. Id recommend this with 10 stars if I could. Well worth the investment if you spend any time at all in the kitchen cooking.
