Hillsdale Montello 32-Inch Swivel Bar Stool, Old Steel Finish with Faux Brown Leather

Wonderful, sturdy stool with a nice design. Packaging and set up is a bit of nightmare but considering the price and quality of the stool, it was worth it. The Styrofoam sheets used for protection crumble and pieces fly all over. Have a vacuum ready as you unpack. I had to loosen the stool seat screws from the swivel in order to get all the protective plastic covering the seat off. Hillsdale puts out a quality product!

The stools were easy to assemble. They are very sturdy and comfortable at out 36 in island. The metal / wood/ leather coordinates beautifully with our kitchen cabinets & decor. The only negative is so far the stools are a little stiff with swiveling but I expect this to improve with time.

These are perfect for our 45 high counter top that extends into our morning room. I have a toddler who usually sits on her knees to reach comfortably, but shes a toddler so its all good. ;) For adults, its a great height for enjoying food or beverages in the morning room. The construction of the item is solid. Theres no wobbling on the floor and assembly was a breeze! I am very happy after several months with my stools. They are heavy and sturdy. The look great and I find them very comfortable. I did add floor protectors on the feet to save my hardwood because I think they would have scratched without it. I recommend them whole heartedly.

We purchased four of these through Amazon. They look beautiful and are comfortable for a bar stool. For that it would get five stars. However, it seems like there are some quality control issues at the Chinese factory where this product is made and so it loses a star for my review. We did have to return/exchange one (a hassle as the product is large and fairly heavy) due to the finish being damaged. Not sure if it left the factory like that, or if it was damaged during the shipping process to us, as the box was pretty torn up when it arrived. One of the other stools also has some issues with the finish, but its in a less noticable spot, and was minor. For the stool that was sent back, another issue it had was that the legs werent quite even and therefore had a slight wobble. As other reviewers have mentioned, getting the plastic wrap off the seat takes longer than the assembly. But despite the quality control issues we experienced and the fact theyre made in China, these stools are so nice that we would buy these again.

Been shopping for barstools for way too long. We have a counter that is 45 tall. All the adjustable barstools we found seemed very cheep. The ones that were 30 were too short to be comfortable eating. This barstool is perfect. Great price, nice and sturdy. And the mix of materials worked great in our room. Doesnt look cheap at all. The swivel is a little tough, but I suppose its better than being loose. And the seat pad is a touch on the stiff side but Im sure it will soften over time. So glad our barstool search is over!

Chair is well made... base and seat are both very sturdy. All 4 legs of the base are level - the chair doesnt wobble on a level surface. Cushion is comfortable. The chairs I received did not come with the bolts to attach the seat to the base, but assembly was easy after a quick trip to the hardware store. Actual product looked exactly like the photo and all 3 chairs ordered looked the same in both fit and finish. Good product overall... great value.

I was excited to receive my order as I had a hard time finding a 32 chair height. I ordered 4 chairs and 3 of the 4 came defective. On all 3 the screws holes holding the seats on were stripped. The company distributing the Chinese made chairs emailed return labels the next day. However, they could not accommodate my request to only replace the defective part. I had to box up and send back the chairs in their entirety and reorder the replacements. Also, the price had gone up when I went to re-order.

We love the stools, theyre a little on the heavy side but look way more expensive than they are. One of them arrived slightly dinged up on the top of back. We fixed it with a black sharpie pen and looks pretty good. For the price I think we got a good buy, but they are rather difficult to put together and there is definitely a knack to it. Basically, you cannot force the screws into the holes; the screws are made from extremely cheap and soft metal you need someone who will be patient. Youve got only one chance to get the screws in correctly and you probably should put the screws in in an X pattern. The first one we tried to put together we stripped one of the screws and it will have to be replaced. Other than the plastic on the seats being very difficult to remove (out of four chairs we could remove the plastic on only one chair correctly). Also, the styrofoam packaging got all over the house and clung to us and as a result the house had to be cleaned and our clothes needed to be washed. All in all were pleased with our purchase, we feel like we got a good deal, the stools look great are a perfect fit for your kitchen eating area.

Product was fine it was a gift for some one
