Hillsdale Montello 32-Inch Swivel Bar Stool, Old Steel Finish with Faux Brown Leather

WE BOUGHT TWO OF THE STOOLS. 1ST ONE CAME AND WAS PERFECT. 2ND ONE WAS SUPPOSED TO BE IDENTICAL, BUT HARDLY WAS. IT WOBBLED ON UNEVEN LEGS, WOULDNT SWIVEL, DID NOT MATCH COLOR OF METAL OR WOOD OF THE 1ST ONE, AND WAS ALMOST 3/4 TALLER. EVEN THE WOOD TOPS WERE DIFFERENT SHAPE & TEXTURE. HILLSDALE PROVIDED INFO FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE, BUT WAS VIRTUALLY NO SERVICE AT ALL. THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE NUMBER APPEARS AS A KENTUCKY NUMBER, BUT IS JUST A FRONT FOR AN INTERNATIONAL NUMBER THAT WOULDNT WORK, EVEN AFTER FIVE TRIES. TRIED THEIR E-MAIL ADDRESS, BUT THEY JUST IGNORED MY FIRST E-MAIL. WE FINALLY CONNECTED, BUT THEN THEY COULDNT FIND OUR ORDER, EVEN THOUGH I GAVE THEM THE ORDER NUMBERS THREE TIMES, IN THE HEADING OF THE E-MAIL! AFTER FINALLY FINDING OUR ORDER, THEY WOULD NOT SEND ANYTHING TO US TO TRY TO FIX THE PROBLEMS, AND THEN SIMPLY IGNORED OUR E-MAILS. DECIDED TO RETURN THEM TO AMAZON. ALTHOUGH CONFUSING, ESPECIALLY FOR THE FIRST TIME RETURNING THINGS, AMAZON DID ACT DECENTLY TO GET US A RETURN LABEL, BUT THEIR SITE IS TERRIBLE ABOUT DISCLOSING A CONTACT NUMBER TO TALK TO SOMEONE. STILL WAITING FOR REFUND TO SEE IF THE RETURN SYSTEM WORKS.

I love that it was easy to assemble . I used them at my bar in my new home.

these counter stools are very nice and go well with my dark dining set. They are a little pricey but I feel they are worth it.

Good value for the price. Very sturdy Welded chair I assembly with four legs that attach to the base. Only eight screws (included)required to complete assembly.

The chair arrived quickly, just 2 days after ordering. The setup was very easy, only taking me 10 minutes. All you have to do is insert four screws using the provided allen wrench. The only bad thing was the styrofoam in the box broke up very easily into hundreds of pieces which stuck to the chair, the seat and on my clothes. Overall I am very pleased with this chair and its styling and sturdiness.

I choose these bar stools based on the construction of the chairs. We needed to have bars tools that were solid rather than flimsy because we entertain ever so often. Secondly we have an open plan house and the chairs are in the heavily trafficked area. I love the color of the metal and the covers on the seat area. I will strongly recommend these barstools based on it construction, style and its sturdiness. I also love the fact that they swivel easily but not loosely.

I am very happy after several months with my stools. They are heavy and sturdy. The look great and I find them very comfortable. I did add floor protectors on the feet to save my hardwood because I think they would have scratched without it. I recommend them whole heartedly.

These are perfect for our 45 high counter top that extends into our morning room. I have a toddler who usually sits on her knees to reach comfortably, but shes a toddler so its all good. ;) For adults, its a great height for enjoying food or beverages in the morning room. The construction of the item is solid. Theres no wobbling on the floor and assembly was a breeze! Before I purchased this stool I had owned 3 others for five years, and they are very heavy and well made. This one was easy to assemble...with one exception...you need all the parts. The screws were not enclosed in the packaging, but luckily I removed one from one of my other three chairs for matching at the hardware store. The few bucks that I spent on screws was well worth the money I saved purchasing this stool from you. It was cheaper than others I found online.

A little stiff and difficult to swivel, otherwise assembly is easy and they look nice!
