> 3 dayThe number on packaging says 47185 but no bracket was included like some of the pictures show. As such, there is no way to mount it. It is useless without a bracket to mount unless you already have one or figure out which one to buy separately. As of Jan 2023, if you look at the photos for the product, you will see two different product packaging with the same 47185 item #. On one of them, the label makes it clear that the bracket is included. The other packaging does NOT indicate the mounting bracket is included. It seems I received the one without that didnt clearly list the mounting bracket as included. Since this item has been sold for years, Im assuming something changed over the years. Whether I received an old version, or a newer version of the 47185, I cant be sure. Either way, be aware there is a risk you are going to receive no mounting bracket. If you dont need the mounting bracket then this wont matter. However, I did and Im sure many/most do. If they sold the bracket separately for a few bucks, I probably would have just gone ahead and ordered the bracket. However, that doesnt appear to be the case, so I dont really know what they expect you to do.

> 3 dayI installed a tow package on my Dodge Grand Caravan and needed the ability to connect a 7 round RV plug to my vehicle when towing my pop-up camper. This Hopkins 47185 Multi-Tow adapter was perfect for me because it allows you to easily have both the 7 round and 4 flat connections easily accessible. Everything necessary for the installation was included, and it took almost no time at all for me to install this device on my vehicle. I have used it multiple times since installing, and it has worked flawlessly. Highly recommend!

> 3 dayI have two of these, one new and the other six years old. The old one still works great. The design does not appear to have changed in that time. After many years of use my only issue with it is the cover for the four pin connector. The cover is made flexible polymer that eventually rots and cracks. You should get at least five years out of the cover with continuous out door exposure. I did not notice another reviews comments that the bracket is included. It should be noted in the ad. I also purchased one from a local store prior to receiving the shipment.

> 3 dayThis adapter is mediocre quality at best. The mounting bracket is thin metal that will flex. You will need to hold the adapter when you plug in your trailer harness. The supplied screws were small (10-32 perhaps). Large enough to work, but nothing more. The rubber cover over the four flat wire connector is also thin, I dont expect it to last very long. The biggest problem was the part that was supposed to plug into my existing flat four wire connector, would not. My truck had a Ford connector already and I wanted this adapter so I would not have to do as much wiring. But I had to cut off the connectors and solder the wires together because the Hopkins plug was made in a way that didnt allow it to plug into the Ford plug. The contacts are bright stainless, brass/copper contacts would be more durable. The Hopkins adapter will get the job done, but it is a much lower quality product than the Ford factory connector on my other truck.

> 3 dayThis was never going to be an easy install for us and it wasn’t. The instructions aren’t bad but they are also not awesome. It took about 3 hours to install in a cargo van so I would easily add more time for a passenger vehicle.

> 3 dayUsed it to add a 7 pin connection to 2008 Ford Expedition that came w/ the 4 pin connection. Mine had electric brake pre-wired, but no power line (black). I was able to make holes on the 4 pin connector holder and attach this adapter using nut/bolt. The wires behind the 7 pin connection touch the spare tire a bit, but I was able to install everything w/o much trouble. Looks professional, and so far no issues connecting/hauling a travel trailer.

> 3 dayWorks for my needs. Exactly what I needed. Exceptional value if you already have a flat four prong connector.

> 3 dayI love this adapter. Very affordable, and has many applications. I use the 7 pin connector on all my vehicles and trailers. But on the family farm almost every think still uses the 6 round, including the vehicles. Nowhere have I found a 5 pin round (vehicle end) to 7 pin blade (trailer). So I buy these and cut off the 4 pin flat (on the wire harness) and connect the wire harness to a 6 pin round vehicle connector. So now I have a 6 round to 7 blade and a bonus 4 pin flat adapter to plug into the farm vehicles so they can pull my trailers. I find that you can buy 7 blade to 4 flat, or 5 round, or 6 round adapter. But no one makes a 5 round to 7 bladed adapter. Surely Im not the one with this need..

> 3 dayThis is a solid adapter that will add a 7 round to your 4 flat plug. It takes a minimum of wiring, and the instructions are adequate, though I had to make use of some online resources. The materials are tough, and I am not afraid this will break at some point. The only reason that I subtracted stars was because the assembly of the adapter was not so great. The center screw on the front of the plug that holds the center wire in was practically falling out. It wasnt that noticeable, and so I spent a good deal of time trying to figure out why not all of my connections were being made.
