I love this. This was recommended to me by the company where I purchased my cutting board. This helps my board from looking dull and dry. This only lasted me for 3 months since I use it once every week. I wished there was a deal to buy a larger bulk. It’s a bit pricier but the results are nice

I oil my wooden utensils and cutting boards maybe every 2 months or when they seem dry. I let soak overnight. The oil does the job. No noticeable scent. Would repurchase.

Review of Howard Products BBB012 Cutting Board Oil, 12 oz I like the John Boos Mystery Oil and Cream better. It seems like the Howard Products oil soaks in and evaporates. The Boos oil & cream (use the oil first and then the cream) - those products last for months before I need to re-do them. All my countertops and island have butcher block.

We have a butchers block in the middle of our kitchen. It is an antique piece that definitely is a eyecatcher for our kitchen. That being said, it needs some love. I ordered this product and it totally revives the butcher block. The butcher block completely drinks up this oil. Another huge plus, we have soapstone countertops and a soapstone backsplash in our kitchen. We were told mineral oil will help restore luster and shine with the stone, especially after if has been cleaned. I cannot express how much this oil has improved our countertops/backsplash. They look better than brand new. I am so glad to have found this oil. It has exceeded my expectations.

Worked great. We got a new sink for our kitchen and it came with an inset cutting board. This thing looks like it hadnt seen any kind of oil in the finishing process at all. It was bone dry. I lost count of how many coats of oil it took, but it had to be 8 or so before it started to really look and feel like a usable cutting board. Ill have to do a regular routine of re-oiling until it hits some kind of stasis, but for now I have about half a bottle left, so Im good for a while. I touched up some wooden utensils while I was at it, and those took almost no oil, so this bottle should last a while for most folks. I was very uneasy initially about where to find the mineral oil I kept hearing I should use on wood because there seems to be more than one type of oil categorized as mineral oil and it wasnt clear to me if it was all food safe. I relied a lot on reviews to decide what to buy and have been very happy with my choice.

I have a modest 1960s home that had beautiful wood cabinets from Nappanee Indiana. Part of this included an integrated cutting board. Id cleaned this board and sanded it down but left it until I could get oil for it. Life got in the way and this board sat for 15 years sanded and not sealed with oil. I finally bought this stuff and oh my I am impressed with how much oil it has soaked up. I am also impressed with how good this rather simple board looks. I have applied a good heavy coat and had very little excess to wipe off. Will do another tomorrow and then use the wood conditioner to maintain this and all of my neglected boards and countertops. This stuff is inexpensive and works very well. Very much worth the cost and easy to apply.

Picked up a large and cheap round cutting board at a certain Lobby for Hobbies that needed a little something extra to make it look its best. This brand was highly rated and worked great! Put a coat on and let it sit for an hour, and then a second overnight. The board looks great and doesnt feel oily at all.

I have a cutting board that came with the sink and is fitted to the sink and also holds a strainer/calendar. Not easy to replace , through neglect and improper care it had dried out and the pieces came unglued. I had used olive oil and vegetable oils which didn’t nourish the wood only gummed it up. After cleaning everything up and gluing back together I started using the Howard Cutting Board Oil and the different is night and day. The Howard product is soaking in very nicely and nourishing the board so it does not dry out. Not shrinking or cracking now. So glad I picked this oil. PS it’s a very oily not too thick but not too thin either , absorbed by wood readily.
