Greater than one weekI got this product because my wife and bought for me a beautiful cutting board made of different types of wood. We have other items that I have oiled with olive oil. I wanted this oil because of its ultimate safety in using. While it darkens the wood, it is much less than olive oil. Used on my new cutting board and one made special for me by my neighbor, a bread cutting item my neighbor made with thin wood slats in a wood tray that catches crumbs below where you cut, custom made wooden spoons and spatulas. Most of this had never been oiled so the first coat was sucked right up. Even after second coat I let items sit to dry and hardly any oil was left on surface.

> 3 dayI oil my wooden utensils and cutting boards maybe every 2 months or when they seem dry. I let soak overnight. The oil does the job. No noticeable scent. Would repurchase.

Greater than one weekWe used this on our room trim - around the windows, on the floor boards, and the doors. Im overall AMAZED at the difference that it made! Our house was built in 1994 and I (now) feel like Ive been neglecting the wood work. I never realized youd have to do anything other than wipe it down ... I now know better! Anyway, I painted the walls and my husband cleaned the wood work (as we normally do - with a damp cloth and slightly soapy water) and then used this oil to finish it off. I cant believe how quickly the wood sucked up the oil and gave all of our wood a luxurious shine! Id forgotten how it looked new! I am amazed and hope the wood work continues to glow. Id highly recommend giving this a try - it is amazing stuff (without a nasty feel)!

> 3 dayI recently bought a high-end acacia wood carving board, and I discovered upon receipt that it hadnt been seasoned. The company recommended a food-grade mineral oil or butcher block oil. After some research, I settled on this Howard Products oil. Its perfect for what I wanted. To season before first use, I applied three coats, letting each dry 20 minutes and wiping off excess in between. The wood soaked it up so, really, I didnt have any appreciable excess. Instantly, the wood had additional depth and beauty. Now, when I use the board, I wash, dry, then apply a single coat of oil to preserve and protect the wood until its next use. This oil doesnt go rancid the way a vegetable oil would. I highly recommend this oil, although I admit I have nothing to compare it all. All I know is that it works beautifully. -- Debbie Lee Wesselmann

> 3 dayWe have several cutting boards and kitchen work surfaces that are make of bamboo and several other types of woods, including some special ones like gnocchi and cavarola boards. I treat them regularly with this; it seems to do a very good job, and the bottle goes a long way. BTW - if you are tempted to just use canola or olive oil you have on hand - dont :-). You need to use an oil that will not go rancid over time.
