> 24 hourI dont do gaming, for starts. I had returned a more expensive gaming monitor to a store, and purchased this online. I got the review from PC online, and went with it. The price was more in my liking, more of a budget friendly monitor. It was well packed, and came with good directions. (not the case with the gaming monitor I returned.) I was surprising pleased. I like this monitor very much. My only regret is not having a webcam, but I wanted to start small, and learn what I wanted. I can get the webcam later, or upgrade. Its my first desktop, I had been using a laptop all along, so this was my first: Im well pleased. I like the looks, color, weight: its lightweight and I can swived it easy enough for different angles to view from. There is also quite an extensive panel to display for different options for your changing your specifics of the display. Im new to getting this, but I think anyone would be pleased with everything this offers, at a budget friendly price.

> 24 hourI believe this monitor model precedes the Windows 11 launch. It worked very well with my Dell business lap-top running Windows 10: great picture, adjustable stand. However, when connecting to my home Dell PC running Windows 11, my desktop functionality was limited. I had all of my desktop short-cuts and they worked, but all of the icons and functionality on the lower taskbar were missing, including the Start button. There were other issues also. I checked the HP website for any monitor drivers and found that none were available for Windows 11 (only Windows 10) with a note that if the OS driver was not available, then the monitor may not be compatible. I then switched back to the old monitor, re-booted, and the same errors occurred and appeared to be permanent. Possibly, the monitor installed some plug and play software that corrupted the Windows 11 files. This was the conclusion reached by the Dell techs helping. After a couple hours of troubleshooting, we had to re-install Windows 11 to get it back working. Ive returned the monitor and am looking for a newer model.

> 24 hourWorks well, no complaints. Speakers are only ok but gets the job done without having to have external speakers cluttering my desk.

> 24 hourThis is from my Son.. Hello, Update: I really dont like the back speakers. Ive upped the volume in the button prefs, but I wont be buying another Monitor where theyre in the back. The colors are fantastic. If I use the DisplayPort, when switching to a game I discovered I have to press the power button on the monitor, let the light go out and press it again to turn on again. The has returned! If I exit a game, and go back to Desktop, I usually have to repeat that process. Using HDMI...zero problems. I have an odd setup, and I wanted to keep the Motherboard Stereo vs GeForce 780s HDMI sound. But the Monitor kept switching back to HDMI for both every time I turned it off, then later on again. I then had to go into Monitor settings and change it again. I, honestly, forgot that my nVIDIA board has HDMI in the video hardware. Otherwise, this Monitor is doing everything is should and doing it well. Since nothing is perfect (done, complete, cannot be added to...final). I would suggest that HP rethinks where the speakers are located. Id prefer them to be in the front. You loose some decibels when theyre in the back. If youre in an Apartment, having the speakers in the back could be less helpful (which I am). Im considering doing a cheap fix, route the sound to the sides...to the front. Otherwise, I really dig this Monitor. Windows 7 looks / sounds great with it. Yep, I still adore that version of Windows. 10, horrible GUI, 11...is a little better. I had to install Realteks HD Audio driver for all 3 OSes to get the PC Speakers to function. Once I remembered the nVIDIA has HDMI, I bought a DVI to HDMI..and went that way. I also disabled the Autio-Switch before doing that. They have the good fine-tuning controls which makes things sweet. Only problem is...it doesnt save (remember) settings. So thats something they might consider looking into...for oddballs. HA! I havent been a fan of HP in many years since their products have become cheap and unreliable for many years. Before then, they were a GREAT brand. Since the new printer with the long lasting Ink was released, and my Mother loves it, and since Im her Tech, Ive used it often and its doing better than 2 other versions of Printers. So, after checking the reviews here...I thought Id go ahead and give this a go. Ill check back later and update after some months.

> 24 hourThis HP 24mh monitor has a clear, crisp display and is the perfect size for desktop use (not too big, not too small). It accepts both HDMI and DisplayPort inputs (and even VGA for old school PCs). While Windows will select 60Hz refresh rate by default, you can go into Windows display settings and select 75Hz refresh rate for this monitor. The 75Hz refresh rate really does help smooth out motion. You should also go into the monitors Image menu setting and set Response Time to Level 3 which provides the best VSYNC performance. One of the best features that places this monitor above and beyond its price range is the 90-degree rotating screen, height adjustment, and swiveling base. The stand is rock-solid without any wobble. The speakers are just fine once you discover the menu control I explain below: HOW TO FIX LOW VOLUME SOUND: The built-in speakers are better than some reviewers indicate. I believe most people dont discover that the monitor menu has its own volume control thats set to 50% volume by factory default. If you just connect this monitor to the PC youll automatically get sound through the HP speakers via HDMI or DisplayPort (you only have to use the separate audio cable when using the VGA input). But no matter how high you turn up your PC volume control, youll only get 50% volume from the monitors speakers which is why people complain about low volume. To fix this, all you need to do is go to the Management tab of the monitor menu, select Audio, and then turn up the volume control from 50 (default) to 100 and youll find the monitor speakers are plenty loud. After that, youll only have to use your PC volume control as normal. This is a great quality monitor with features beyond its price range. Fantastic value, HP! ADDITIONAL NOTE: HP sells an identical monitor to the HP 24mh under the model P24h. The only difference is that the P24h has a black plastic logo strip along the bottom instead of silver like the 24mh. Everything else is identical (specs, speakers, height adjustable stand, etc.) plus the P24h comes with both an HDMI cable and a DisplayPort cable.

> 24 hourLets start with the pros! -The size is good, I think it looks pretty, its clear, has decently good speakers, can be turnt sideways, and is decent for gaming. I bought this primarily as a budget gaming monitor and to use it while Im streaming games on Twitch. -Not too expensive -Nice looking stand Cons -Whenever I play any dark game like Skyrim, or see a dark loading screen from a game, I unfortunately see yellow bleeding on the sides. Its been there since Day 1. I most likely will exchange it for a new one if I can find a solution for my second issue. I really needed a monitor for streaming, so I dont have time to go days without a monitor again. This monitor does have a warranty, so Ill have to contact HP at some point if it really starts to bug me while playing games like Skyrim. -I cannot connect my Nintendo Wii. Ive tried contacting HP support but no one knows the answer so far and I get an error every time I plug in my Wii saying that I need to change the mode when there is no option to change the mode. I was really looking forward to streaming switch and Wii games but I havent found a solution for the Wii games yet although Switch games are fine... if I dont, I may have to get a BENQ or some other type of gaming monitor that is more compatible with different gaming systems. **EDIT: I had to change my Wii settings from 480i to 480p and it works now! & Now I have two monitors and put them on a VESA dual mount! Besides that, its great! The height adjustment is AMAZING, I LOVE that it has speakers, and it has the ports that I need! Another HDMI would be nice, but its okay. Main problems were just the bleeding and not being able to connect my Wii. If I find a solution for my Wii Ill update this review! -@LeSweetpea on Twitch, IG, and YouTube

> 24 hourLooks great, sounds great, and works like a dream! Got to use as a second monitor alongside my laptop and.. despite the latter being on the expensive side, sometimes this monitor just works/looks so much better. Was originally a bit hesitant due to the size and how much space it would take up, but Ive never looked back. Its so easy to read, doesnt give me any screen errors, and has just been the best impulse purchase Ive made in a long time. Really do recommend it, so far so good!

> 24 hourJust received this HP 24mh FHD Monitor and set it up today. I saw some reviews that the refresh rate could not be set up to 75 hertz. I have a HDMI port on my Lenovo T480 laptop so I used a HDMI cable, connected it to this monitor, and the refresh rate showed up 75 hertz (see attached photo.) However, if I connect my HDMI cable to my USB C dongle (my dongle has a HDMI connection as well), the refresh rate can only be 60 hertz if connected to a dongle. I have a 2019 MacBook and it doesnt have HDMI connection so I use my USB C dongle to connect this HP monitor to my MacBook. The rate can be 60 hertz (see attached photo.) Therefore, my conclusion would be that you would need to have a direct HDMI connection directly connected your computer with the monitor. If you would use dongles, the refresh rate would be reduced. By the way, the shipping package is very well packed. A HDMI cable and a sound cable are included in the package, so its very convenient. The Quick Setup Guide is very helpful, very easy to follow to set up the monitor. So far the monitor works great. It can be adjusted up and down and also tilt forward or backward just as it described on the product description on the Amazon website. Well, I just used it for a few hours. So far I’m very satisfied and I think this product is totally worth your money. It actually exceeds my expectation in many ways because the price is $109.

> 24 hourIt’s either the HDMI cord it comes with has shorts or the port does. I find it very annoying but work around it. Other than that it’s great and would buy another. Image quality is breathtaking. I use it with a Mac book pro and the colours come off so well
