I like this monitor size. The stand easily adjusts the height and tilt and the monitor can be turned to portrait mode too.

This is from my Son.. Hello, Update: I really dont like the back speakers. Ive upped the volume in the button prefs, but I wont be buying another Monitor where theyre in the back. The colors are fantastic. If I use the DisplayPort, when switching to a game I discovered I have to press the power button on the monitor, let the light go out and press it again to turn on again. The has returned! If I exit a game, and go back to Desktop, I usually have to repeat that process. Using HDMI...zero problems. I have an odd setup, and I wanted to keep the Motherboard Stereo vs GeForce 780s HDMI sound. But the Monitor kept switching back to HDMI for both every time I turned it off, then later on again. I then had to go into Monitor settings and change it again. I, honestly, forgot that my nVIDIA board has HDMI in the video hardware. Otherwise, this Monitor is doing everything is should and doing it well. Since nothing is perfect (done, complete, cannot be added to...final). I would suggest that HP rethinks where the speakers are located. Id prefer them to be in the front. You loose some decibels when theyre in the back. If youre in an Apartment, having the speakers in the back could be less helpful (which I am). Im considering doing a cheap fix, route the sound to the sides...to the front. Otherwise, I really dig this Monitor. Windows 7 looks / sounds great with it. Yep, I still adore that version of Windows. 10, horrible GUI, 11...is a little better. I had to install Realteks HD Audio driver for all 3 OSes to get the PC Speakers to function. Once I remembered the nVIDIA has HDMI, I bought a DVI to HDMI..and went that way. I also disabled the Autio-Switch before doing that. They have the good fine-tuning controls which makes things sweet. Only problem is...it doesnt save (remember) settings. So thats something they might consider looking into...for oddballs. HA! I havent been a fan of HP in many years since their products have become cheap and unreliable for many years. Before then, they were a GREAT brand. Since the new printer with the long lasting Ink was released, and my Mother loves it, and since Im her Tech, Ive used it often and its doing better than 2 other versions of Printers. So, after checking the reviews here...I thought Id go ahead and give this a go. Ill check back later and update after some months.

Bought this to use as a monitor for my 2017 MacBook Air as the 13 screen was starting to strain my eyes. For some context, Im a student and my primary use for the screen is to read read read and take lots of notes. Ive read a few reviews about issues with the resolution from a mac to this screen, and the surefire way to make sure none of those issues happen is to buy a thunderbolt to hdmi cable - I bought one from amazon basics a couple years ago and it works seamlessly - edge to edge display and full resolution. Its not a 4k monitor or anything but with how big it is and how far back you sit, its all the same in terms of crisp, clear picture. I dont use my computer for gaming really so I cannot comment on the graphics/resolution for that purpose - but for your basic office or school work - its perfect. Not sure what a solution would be for newer mac models that have only the usb-c output. Also, this was bought in Feb 2021 and it seems like the latest model comes with built in speakers, has a tilt feature, and vertical sliding to adjust the height. For this price, I think the value is unbeatable. The only downside is that there seems to be no external volume control, but I have my bluetooth headphones in most of the time anyway so it doesnt matter. It also comes with an aux cord to connect to external speakers, and a regular hdmi cable. If youre hesitating on this product, theres a reason its the #1 seller on computer monitors on amazon!

As someone who just started working from home, it was imperative that I get two good working monitors. I had never really bought myself a monitor before, and studied a lot about the different specs for a monitor, like refresh rate, resolution, panel type, etc. I also needed something affordable that would fit my budget. This was THE BEST find! I love it so much and it has exceeded my expectations, and I only bought them for $109.99 each! I never had an HP computer before, so I am definitely pleased. It was super easy to set up, the screen is like matte and not glossy. You can see everything clearly and it is super wide, just how I like it. You can also turn the monitor’s screen so it is vertical! So helpful when I am looking at excel sheets. You don’t even need to take the screen off of it’s base to rotate the screen vertically! They give you an HDMI cord and power cord for each monitor, so I was able to just follow the guide they provided and set it up in only 20-30 minutes. People have complained about the audio and the refresh rate not being 75 Hz...so I was hesitant to buy it. But I saw some other reviews and was able to toggle the menu and adjust the audio for both monitors, so I am able to get really good sound! Also, if you want to change the refresh rate, literally all you have to do is download Graphics Command Center on the Microsoft Store, go to Display settings and literally adjust the monitors refresh rate from there. BAM! 75 Hz The only reason why I am giving it four stars is because I wish there were more USB ports on the monitors. I realize now I may actually never use the VGA port...also, I am not certain the warranty on these devices, especially from Amazon, will totally help me if anything were to happen to these monitors. But so far, I AM VERY PLEASED WITH MY PURCHASE. :)

I want a standalone monitor that is at least 4 inches larger than my laptop screen. The way this one is made, or many it seems, I either had to put the monitor to the side, which is uncomfortable since I spend 8-12 hours a day at my laptop, or put it behind my laptop screen, in which case the laptop screen blocks a few inches of the bottom of the standalone monitor. The stand for the monitor connects to low to the back of it to allow it to stradle my laptop screen. I will have to keep looking.

    Greater than one week

This monitor had everything I was looking for. Nice size screen, adjustable height / tilt and built in speakers. For 7 months it worked like a charm. Last week I moved it about 6 inches to clean and when I moved it back I noticed a black spot and horizontal lines. No worries, I had a 1 year warranty with HP. I talked to 5 different persons at HP before I was told by Suresh that for $105 they would send me a new monitor. Luckily I had purchased a 4 year extended warranty through Asurion for $29.99. They were great. All I had to do was return the monitor (UPS label provided) and I would receive a $125 gift card. I just purchased this monitor again (price up $25) and I will also purchase another extended warranty. Lets recap, I had 2 warranties on a monitor that I paid $125 for and for another $55 I am back to where I was a week ago. HP should be ashamed of themselves. Their customer service and warranty are a joke.

Honestly the only reason im writing this review is to share how helpful the helpline was at well.... helping. Had this guy as a secondary display for about 2-3 weeks and it worked perfectly. Unfortunately today as i turned it on, the screen remained black and buttons stopped working. I switched the display type from HDMI to display port and it still didnt work. I updated my driver, and did about everything possible to trouble shoot it but it was simply unresponsive. After reaching out to the helpline, they immediately thought of other ways to trouble shoot it and even set up a video chat so they could visibly see the issue. After a few more attempts there was no luck, and the display was simply bricked. The part i appreciate is that the dude was not only very very helpful and chill, but they are sending me a new monitor immediately. That whole process, plus the fact that it does exactly what is expected when working is why i gave 5 stars.
