> 24 hourso the great thing about this, is I use to buy the 5 gallon salt buckets. MAN one drop of water in there and no you are chiseling your way through the chunks of hard salt now. This box actually has individual bags, so if one bag got wet, it will only affect that bag, the rest of the salt is safe. it happens sometimes when i use my scooper to put the salt into the RO water to make my salt water and a splash will hit the handle or the 5 gallon bucket and then its all over.. I like it better this way for me.

> 24 hourthe ONLY down side to this is that it tends to leave some scale in the mixing container-very consistent- Ive been using this and Fritz products for 30+ years

> 24 hourYou cant beat the price if youve got a sizable aquarium and do water changes regularly. This is the second case we have purchased for water changes and lately I have been the one maintaining our new 150 tank. Clean 5 gallon buckets, RO/DI that has had a chance to degas over a couple days and 2 level cups puts us right around a specific gravity of 1.021 fairly consistently. However with the new bags I did notice after agitation via a power head two out of five buckets (total of 10 scoops) had a piece or two or black debris. Did not investigate further but know it was not from the power head as it was freshly cleaned before mixing. I suggest sifting as you pour into your salt storage container to prevent any debris contamination from getting in your tank and possibly damaging the impeller on the return pump (if running a sump).

> 24 hourI do water changes, 4 gallons a week. For some reason, its never on par with the directions. I have to do 2 1/2 cups to get it to 1.025. But Ive been using Instant Ocean for years and never had salinity shock.

> 24 hourBased on my mixing it seemed to come up short of 50 gallons. Specific gravity is lower than should be. Now I get the fun chore of trying raise it little by little by little as not to waste what I made then start playing the little by little of RO. May have been me. Who knows?

> 24 hourI have used this last for the past 8 years but something fishy with this last bag i used. eveything started to close off. 3 months of using it since i only have to do 5 gallon at a time. a fellow reffer Told me to switch off to another brand and see if theres any improvement. All my water premature were a little off but after using a different salt Everything is starting to open up again. Ive never complain about the soul since I had amazing results but this comes in and when you start losing everything in the tank.

> 24 hourI have used so many salts over the years I have forgotten some of the ones that Ive used. I used stuff that ran me $120 for a Tall 5 gallon bucket (probably like 7.5 gallons) that was lab certified to be this or that. I started to realize that I kept buying different salt every time it was time to buy salt, one thing I have learned is that consistency does pay off. I dont know if this is the best salt in the world, but Im sticking with it. It is economical, it dissolves easily, my water parameters test good with it. I run a mixed reef with it and corals are doing their thing, fish are swimming, and everyone seems happy.

> 24 hourIt works great so far in my nano tank. I cant really say much. Some people dont like this brand but with my tank I see no issues although I am a beginner.
