> 3 dayIve been a saltwater hobbyist (45 gallon) for almost 10 years now and since the very beginning have been using this brand of salt with no problems at all. The pricing is always competitive compared to other name brands but the salt to me is always the same no matter which brand you go with. To mix this salt I use R/O water in a glass jar, pour in the salt and then fill with water. I shake it for a few seconds and let it sit till the salt dissolves. When the salt dissolves I start pouring slowly into the tank and measuring the salt amount with my meter. Other brand name salts that compare to this one are smaller grained and dissolve faster but for me, I have no issue waiting and Ive noticed that on occasion over the years passed that if I do get impatient and pour some undissolved salt into the tank it doesnt seem to harm the fish or coral- some salts are not recommended to pour directly into the tank without dissolving first like I mention above in a glass jar with R/O water. Overall I favor this brand and have used it for so many years that switching now seems pointless. Id recommend to others as Ive had no problems with this product over the years.

> 3 dayDissolves easily but do not use chlorinated water directly from tap. Allow chlorine to dissipate over night before adding salt.

> 3 dayI have used this last for the past 8 years but something fishy with this last bag i used. eveything started to close off. 3 months of using it since i only have to do 5 gallon at a time. a fellow reffer Told me to switch off to another brand and see if theres any improvement. All my water premature were a little off but after using a different salt Everything is starting to open up again. Ive never complain about the soul since I had amazing results but this comes in and when you start losing everything in the tank.

> 3 dayI used to go to the Jersey shore a lot. I would navigate my way gingerly across the sand, trying to pick out a spot on the beach where I could lay my towel without being surrounded by discarded junk. A few years ago, I was able to relax there for a only few minutes before some muscle-head kicked sand on my face and stole my girl. I applied for one of those correspondence martial arts courses, and the next year I went back and confronted that same muscle-head with my new-found skills. This time, my ex-girlfriend held me down while he pummeled me. I would never waste my money on one of those correspondence martial arts courses again. This sea salt lets me mix up some ocean water for my pets without having to risk seeing that muscle-head or my bully ex-girlfriend at the beach. For that, its priceless. However, be warned: seagulls and beach pollution not included.

> 3 dayI use this brand for the value. I’ve never had an issue with my saltwater tanks using this brand. Only problem I’ve noticed is that it takes a little more than what is recommended. I use for small batches of water, usually 5 gallons. I usually have to add about an extra cup to it to get salinity correct. Otherwise no issues. And the price is much better than the other brands. Just make sure you check the salinity before adding to aquarium.
