Instant Ocean Sea Salt (10 gal)

I got it for a brackish tank so not a bad deal.

This is a great salt. It dissolves quickly and gives my tank the right ph. My clown loves it. I have a 10g and these bags last for about 6 months (I do a 20% water change every week). Make sure to seal and keep airtight once open because it will clump together. It will still dissolve this way but perhaps less easily. The packaging recommends 1/2 cup per gallon to achieve 1.022 salinity. This is pretty on point.

Ive been using Instant Ocean for over Thirty years. I started using it when I started my Hobby, when I became a research scientist and throughout the Thirty five years I ran an Aquarium business. I cannot recommend this salt enough.. Reef Tank, Invert Tank or a Simple Table top tank. Ive installed aquariums up to Ten Thousand Gallons, and as small as 1 gallon. They were all filled with Instant Ocean.. Now that I am almost retired?.. Getting it delived to your door for this price?... Priceless!

The product, instant ocean, is great. I use it in my live shrimp tank. I sometimes keep over 1000 shrimp, and the instant ocean does the trick. My problem is I mistakenly ordered it from Amazon on there recurring delivery. This means you get the product every month. I decided to cancel this order after 3 months. The cancel option only cancels for one month, and then you start getting the product again. Amazon, how do I cancel recurring delivery?!?!

So far so good pertaining the packaging and looks of the salt (it came out very fine like sugar and not clumpy from within the bag) . I have used this salt before with good results before switching to RSCP and have come to give it another chance because RSCP is too expensive! From what I have read, theres not much difference between this salt and more expensive ones. I will begin using one of the 50 gallon bags tomorrow, and the opened bag will been placed in a 5G bucket that I have left from my other salt. My salinity came out at about 1.027ppm (which is just a little more than I want) with two cups of salt and 4G of water. I will come back here to talk about how much calcium theres in the new salt and how my SPS and other corals react after a few months. I do dose KM nanoreef part A and B twice a week to keep my calcium from depleting because I have some big SPS colonies.

Great product. Cheaper on here then in store. Would highly recommend.
