They sent me an email informing me that I would soon be renewed at a high price ( $56). I was used to paying about $25. I went looking online for a better price and found it at $27. I downloaded the software and activated it several days before the auto-renew date. I also stopped the auto-renew on their site which took me an hour to do. Thought I was good for another year at a good price. Then I looked at my credit card statement and saw that they charged me TWICE for the same software, once for $27 and again for $56. I went to their site and chatted with a rep about the problem and thinking that I would get a credit for the $56. No such luck. They refused to admit their obvious mistake. DO NOT choose auto-renewal when you buy from this company. It is very difficult to cancel it later and then they ignore it. I have been a loyal customer of theirs for over ten years. I expected better treatment.

Pretty easy and simple software to use, I keep my computer pretty clean but it still took a couple GBs off.

I have been using Sys Mech for well over 5 years. I usually renew my license ahead of time and was paid up thru Jan of 2025. My PC is about 5 years old and it has been really slow and cumbersome. I have high speed internet and it takes forever to load pages. I just figured it was an old PC. Recently Sys Mech blocked one of my system files and said it was a virus. Now several of my programs will not function. That file was required for them to work. The people at the help number said I needed to have their Tech service at $20 a month to assist me. REALLY? So they basically said without that service, they couldnt help. The last time I renewed for one year, they apparently automatically signed me up for that service. I had to go thru my credit card company to remove that first charge and cancel that service. So now what? I uninstalled Sys Mech and reloaded Win 10 and holy cow, My PC now flys like the Concord. Webpages load almost instantaneously, the PC is faster then I can ever remember. ALL OF MY ISSUES seemed to have been caused by this program. SO YES ... BEWARE. Look for Google reviews about problems and fraud complaints about this company. They USED to be good. (NOTE: 3 years of prepaid licensing to 2025 is down the tubes)

Personally, it seems time after time, that we do need more security software to keep our computers at the fullest value possible. This is why it is more recommended that we get antivirus and spyware protective software. But getting utility software to protect our computers from hackers is just as important. But trying to find the right one is much easier said than done, and some of them damage other pieces of software. That is the case with System Mechanic. This software can work a little too well. The software does work nicely at cleaning the computer and making it run much faster. But, it could also damage other software in the process. For example, it de-fragmented my Vipre Antivirus software so badly, it left my computer vulnerable to hackers. As a result, I had to buy another antivirus software so this wouldnt happen again. So personally, I would recommend this software, only in the most extreme cases. Other than that, you would be better off with a brand like Win Cleaner instead.

System mechanic is not the same as it use to be, Ive been a customer for over 10 years, not anymore, it is now ran by crooks, first of all the one I got last year quit working right before the year was even up, the only thing that worked was the anti virus, now the one I get this year from iolos store on amazon, which I thought would be a disc, but is a activation code, everything works but the anti virus, I downloaded, used the code, did everything box/tutorial said, I call customer support, this dude that can barely speak or understand english, wants my order number from amazon, and tons of my unnecessary information, then he wants to do a remote session where he gets into my pc, I said Im not doing a remote set up, (dont trust it because of the poor service Ive had) dude says well because I bought it off amazon I dont have an account, that Ill have to pay 19.99 a month for tech support, and for $239 he can give me an extended version of professional version of system mechanic for 3 years, Im so glad I didnt let crook in my pc.

System Mechanic is an excellent program yo clean the clutter out of your computer and let s your computer run faster.
