> 3 dayIve been having a ton of fun dyeing my jeans and experimenting with this dye. Its awesome, my only complaint is that the black is more of a grey and does not work as well as the others. But overall this is a great kit.

> 3 dayThis is the first time I have used the dyes. They were so easy to work with. And my results on 100% cotton were fantastic! So much fun and professional results!!

> 3 dayThe tye dye product was great. It could use a little more instructions, such as wear gloves when dealing with the soda ash. I ended up absorbing so much in through my skin i was really sick for the rest of the day. Which, i was wearing glovs for the actual tye dye part, but didnt think i would need then just to soak the shirts in the soda ash. Other than that the product is great and the end result was awsome!

> 3 dayMessy. Fun. I recommend this to anyone wanting to give tie dye a try. For the price, youre better off buying 1 or 2 of these, some empty squirt bottles, and a small box of latex gloves. However, if youve never tie dyed before, one of Jacquards kits is a great start. This is more for round 2, when youre determined to get your shirts to come out how you had pictured them coming out in your head prior to starting. The powder allows you to mix as much dye as needed, which is quite a bit more than youll get with a starter kit.

> 3 dayI’ve been tie dying for the past few years and normally used Tulip brand. This year I wanted to step up my game and go with “professional” colors. Most procion colors were gorgeous, vibrant and well worth the money. Black though, black was a complete let down and it’s caused a ton of grief. I don’t know what else to say, the picture speaks for itself. This was supposed to be a black and grey swirl shirt, as you can see, it’s ALL grey!! I followed every proper tie dye step known to man. Washed in synthrapol, soaked in soda ash for 30 minutes, let dye soak for 24 hours. I even double up on the powder for mixing instructions, per the advice of other reviewers, and this is what I have to show for all that hard work. I would have been better off with the drug store tie dye because this black ruined 5 project pieces! I don’t know if they accidentally put grey into a jet black container or not, but that seems to be the only logical explanation for why our black looks like this. My advice, buy a different black. Literally any other brand besides this one for black.

Greater than one weekThis is a fun and inexpensive way to achieve textured and tonal looks. Batik is $13+ a yard. I can make it for $4 a yard. Always exciting to see how it turns out. Sheila
