> 3 dayThe teal washes out pretty easy for whatever reason. Im used to using Dharma trading companies procion dye. I figured Id give this a go. The teal does not stick very well. And yes I know how to mix it. I do believe that the key here is that they should really be also giving the dye activator not just the soda ash binder. Why leave that out of the pack? Why not include urea?

> 3 dayThese dyes work well. Follow the instructions- you MUST use soda ash if you want good results. My advice is to use less dye than they have written on the instructions. The color is very dark and bold if you follow the instructions- I would have liked it better to use 1/3rd less dye in the ratio of dye to water. I wanted colors that were a bit more soft and pleasant. The turquoise is so dark if you use the ratio written on the instructions- if you want a nice aqua color then use less dye.

> 3 dayI liked that this dye came with soda ash. It helps to achieve brighter colors, and said in binding of dye to fabric. First photo is a large tapestry. Not a long presoak in the soda ash. Shirt soaked for 30 minutes and produced more brilliant color. Not much of a tutorial about tie dye technique, but easy enough to research basic fold patterns. Brilliant colors with tons of variations of color, they give you a mixing chart to create colors. You could easily use this at a party to create dozens of shirts. I use water bottles with a hole drilled in the cap to squirt the dye on fabric. Squirt bottles and wooden sticks to pull fabric apart while dyeing are a good idea. So are gloves, especially during rinsing process.

> 3 dayIve been having a ton of fun dyeing my jeans and experimenting with this dye. Its awesome, my only complaint is that the black is more of a grey and does not work as well as the others. But overall this is a great kit.

> 3 dayI have been tie dying for years and these are the only dyes Ill use. I still have a shirt I dyed 5 years ago and the colors are just as bright and vibrant as the day I did it.

18-11-2024Bought this set because it is a great cold water dye. The kit says mix colors to get any color you desire. Well, I wanted red and blue. The kit contains no primary color so you CAN NOT achieve any primary color. Shame on me for assuming the kit was primary colors. Careful if you dont want pink and turquoise!
