These are worth the price! If you enjoy hiking, even when there is snow and ice, these are a must. I hiked a few days after a snow and ice storm and I didnt slip once. I also work outside and these came in very handy working after that same ice and snow storm. Easy to put on and they stay in place. Sizes seem to me to be accurate as listed.

I bought these after having two experiences this winter, one on a hike on an icy trail in the Colombia River Gorge, and one trying to walk across my brothers frozen driveway. I had many recommendations for them from fellow hikers, so ordered a set using the sizing guide. When I received them I tried them on my hiking shoes. They went on easily and fit the shoes nice and securely, with no slackness. I have not had a chance to hit the trail, or an icy driveway yet, but judging by the spikes these should do just fine.

Used these on a glacier in Iceland and was able to keep my footing throughout strenuous hiking.

Excellent traction for hiking steep grades in snow and ice. Used for daily hikes for multiple seasons with no signs of wear. The only drawback is that occasionally when the snow is really sticky and fresh, large clumps of snow will quickly accumulate in the spikes and you have to kick a tree to get it off. But otherwise these are excellent.

Works better than any other cleats Ive used but still a bit pricey

This story says it all. Im a big microspikes fan, wear them when hiking in the winter all the time. My husband thought hed slip more, for some reason, and tried hiking without for a while once. Finally, after watching him slip and slip, I said, thats it; youre putting on the microspikes. And he agreed. He was absolutely amazed at how much they help you grip in the winter and is now a big fan also. I always keep them in the bottom of my pack and have resorted to using them when it was just slippery muddy uphill/downhill trail and they do wonders then also. Its soooooooo worth the few extra ounces to have a pair in your pack at all times. Do not leave them on your boots and store them that way because they will stretch out, which is the reason Im purchasing another pair. Lesson learned there, always take them off the shoes/boots after the hike.

Definitely go for a smaller size. The right size according to the chart feels loose and comes off on slopes.

I use these for hiking in Hawaii. That may sound strange but they come in handy a lot and pretty much any serious hiker you meet out here has a pair. They are great for going through mud, for crossing streams with algae-covered rocks, and for giving extra traction when going up/down very steep sections of trail. Ive used mine quite a bit and they have yet to break or show serious signs of wear. There are many trails here with sections so steep that a simple slip could send you tumbling hundreds of feet. I love the added security I feel when hiking with my microspikes and other hikers often stop me to admire them and ask where they can get a pair. For the price this is easily one of the best purchases Ive made in recent times.

I’ve had cheaper spikes in the past and they’ve always let me down. These are the best. Worth the price.
