> 3 dayWe use this for my daughters hedgehog. It is unscented and appears to absorb urine pretty well. I prefer the white to the colored because its easier to see how dirty it is getting. It does stick to the hedgehog and his blankets, so that whenever my daughter picks him up it ends up all over the floor. But this seems unavoidable. Overall, we like this product and would absolutely recommend it.

Greater than one weekTLDR; lice-like insects found in my hamster’s cage after giving him this bedding, now going through the process of vets to be safe and replacing all of the bedding in his cage...FREEZE ALL/ANY BEDDING BEFORE GIVING IT TO YOUR PET I use this bedding in bulk to fill my hamster’s enclosure. In total it has taken about 5-6 85L bags of this bedding to appropriately fill his 3.5ftx3.5ft cage. I had no problems with this bedding and my hamster has been happily burrowing. If anything it’s just a bit dusty, but nothing that has ever caused me or my hamster any issues. Last week I purchased two more 49.5L bags of this and added it to the enclosure. Two days after putting it in his cage, I find hundreds of what appear to be polyplax serrata or polyplax spinulosa lice crawling all over a wooden platform in his cage. I am not 100% sure these bugs were from the bedding but I am at a loss of where else they could have come from as the two bags of bedding are the only new items I have introduced into his cage recently, and I’ve never seen them in the cage before. Long story short I’m shocked this happened and am writing this to stress the importance of freezing this or any bedding before you give it to your pet. It could save you a lot of trouble as now we have a vet visit and I have to replace all of the bedding in his cage, which is going to be expensive!! **Photos are of the insects I collected on a paper towel in a ziploc. Will be bringing them to the vets to hopefully get an ID on them.

> 3 daythis is the best bedding Ive ever used for my hamster. it is very cheap, and expands so much so you get the most for your money. it is very soft and absorbent. however, in the description of this product, it says 1-3 inches. this is INCORRECT for hamsters. hamsters need at LEAST 6+ Inches in a section. however, great product nonetheless, and I 10/10 recommend. also, this came incredibly fast (only 2 days!)

> 3 daythis product is really good for hamsters. It’s a lot bigger than I thought which is really great and one of the packages can fill up about 8 inches on a 100 quart bun.

> 3 dayI had wood shavings in my guinea pig cage. I decided this may be more comfortable and cost effective. It is very soft, but it does not decompress to fill the cage as well as wood. You have to use more. It also is starting to smell after about 4 days (my pigs are only in this cage half of the time). With wood, I could go a week or two before cleaning.
