Kaytee Clean & Cozy White Small Animal Bedding For Pet Guinea Pigs, Rabbits, Hamsters, Gerbils, and Chinchillas

I’ve been buying this product for several years now. We have 3 guinea pigs and 3 gerbils. This stuff is great. While I buy the white primarily, I’ll also buy the lavender when it’s on sale. I’ve had no issues with this product and the quality is consistent. I’ll buy 2-3 at a time to simply stock up. It expands well, holds moisture, Isn’t dusty, etc. I’ve noticed that several other reviewers have commented on the lack of consistency and other issues, I have had no such problems and would recommend the product.

I will only buy this brand and the lavender scent does help. Amazon has it in a big bag only order from Amazon the pet stores don’t carry it

This bedding is easy to use but does not live up to 2 of the claims. 1) its NOT 99.99% dust free. My cage is by the sliding door & when the sun shines in I can see a lot of dust come from he bag & the pan. And the pan has a lot of dust on it when emptied. 2) the odor control is not great. I have to change my litter pan every other day because it starts to smell of urine. The only thing I would agree with is that it is absorbent.

I would give this product five stars but I don’t really support the company because they sell really small cages for hamsters and gerbils and they don’t have the best diet for them either I do recommend Kaytee silent spinners, this bedding, and some of their toys but aside from Kaytee not being the best brand their bedding is very absorbent and it’s pretty easy to clean I have no complaints with this bedding

Its big and compact. It will definitely expand to said amount. Its smell free! Its absorbent. Its cheap. Its perfect! My rats love it as they bury themselves. This will definitely last a long long time. I trust kaytee products and this is a keeper. I like the the narrow packing of this for easy storage under the bed or in between cage and wall. Its everything I want it to be. Still using this after 3 months and I bought a bulk pack. It doesnt go stale or creates any mold from moisture. My rats love it as they bury themselves in it. No weird chemical or other non sense smell. thank you for a good product. I will recommend this to friends and family.

Its nice and does its job but it gets EVERYWHERE!! My rabbits liked to dig and throw it everywhere and when trying to change their bedding it just made a mess! It also got stuck in my rabbits fur (including my lionheads fur!).

Works great but... Price is high for what it is and the wood chips have a better smell. Especially if you grew up in the days when wood shavings were the only thing used. I started doing half the cage in wood chips that are way cheaper, and half in this bedding to save money. Seems to be working great. My hamster uses this bedding in her sleeping area, but doesn’t seem to mind digging in wood shavings. One negative is this product is not consistent. Sometimes you get what feels like cotton, and some times you get what feels like cheap paper. They are using reclaimed scraps, so I guess if they get them from say Q tips, it’s good but if not, only so so.

This bedding really holds their burrows well! Remember to always give your hamster 6 or more of bedding in a cage at least 600 sq inches (450+ for dwarfs/robos). It expands A LOT so dont be wary of package size. I will say that I dont think it controls smell as well as Clean and Cozy. But I definitely am sticking with this brand.

I have been buying this product every two months, but this time there was black plastic in the bedding!!! I will not buy again.
