I have an indoor Dutch. We were using cedar shavings and decided to give this a try. I loved it so much I immediately ordered a second bag, the larger version. With cedar shavings there was almost always an odor in his cage. The only time I catch odor with this (I have the unscented) is if I stick my head IN his cage and hang out. I scoop daily or every other day by hand (with a glove) and its really easy to remove. I totally clean it out about every week and a half or so. With daily cleaning it seems to last longer. Oliver (last name Queen....if you know then you know) LOVES when I put fresh bedding in. He gets in and plays and fixes it how he likes it. I will be purchasing this for years to come.

I wanted to try using bedding with my guinea pigs. I wanted something light, soft, and absorbent. I got all of those things. I picked this white color because I figured itd be easier to spot clean. This bedding is awesome. My guinea pigs love to run around in it and their cage doesnt smell. It is super easy to clean up after them. I am very happy with this purchase and so are my sweet guineas.

I like this one the most. It seems to do a good job with odor control, even though guinea pigs are smelly in general. To make it easier to clean, I put scratch paper at the bottom of the tray, then the bedding. When we have clean the cage, I just pull at the paper underneath and it all comes out in a big chunk. I also dont have to scrub the poo anymore since it stays on the paper and comes out with the paper and bedding.

I would give this product five stars but I don’t really support the company because they sell really small cages for hamsters and gerbils and they don’t have the best diet for them either I do recommend Kaytee silent spinners, this bedding, and some of their toys but aside from Kaytee not being the best brand their bedding is very absorbent and it’s pretty easy to clean I have no complaints with this bedding

It’s bedding for a small animal, definitely nice and soft for them. Obviously when it gets dirty or wet you will be able to tell. The bedding doesn’t have any bad smell to it. The only thing I would say is that if your small animal eats small stuff they might eat this which may not be the best for them.

It was softer than most paper beddings I’ve used and my gerbils and hamster loved it. It is easily cleaned up with a scooper.

This used to be my go to bedding, but I won’t buy it or even use it if it was free. There are pieces of what seems like latex/nirile food prep gloves in this bedding. No idea how this manages to get into what should be all paper bedding. Previously there was small pieces of what seemed like duct tape or plastic in it, brightly colored. But this huge glove piece is absolutely horrible, how can they miss this? If your pet eats something like this, at best they’ll be very sick, at worst they’ll die. Do not buy this until they fix the quality issues!

Here is a comparison of 5 types of bedding options Ive tried for my guinea pig. 1) EZWhelp puppy pads - Trying to save money with this reusable option, but unfortunately the guinea pigs fur started turning yellow because it needs more stuff to brush up against his legs and absorb pee off them. The pads were very wet to the touch and leaking a little because the guinea pig peed so much. I suppose I could have put in some towels on top to add absorption, but by this time I was tired of having to clean hay from my washer and pet hair from my clothes. The guinea pig also would step on his poop and get it on his paws, so I had to be vigilant about removing the poop. I give these a 2 for messiness and not keeping my pet clean. 2) Aspen shavings - Cheapest bedding. Nice woody smell. Not very good absorption - I can see wetness on the bottom of the cage when I scoop it. Depending on the brand, you may need to watch out for sharp pieces of wood. I give these a 3.5 for lack of absorption but good odor control and price. 3) CritterCare - The little pieces feels hard like cardboard. They also get compacted easily and poop stays on top, which means the guinea pig steps on poop and frequently gets it stuck in his paws. Odor control isnt the greatests. However, it absorbs pretty well. And wetness shows up clearly allowing me to spot clean easily. I give these a 3 for absorption but poop on paws. 4) Carefresh - It is similar to CritterCare in wetness absorption and odor control. However, pieces seem softer, and it doesnt get as compacted than CritterCare although occasionally, poop still gets stuck on his paws. I dont like the blue bedding because it dyes his privates blue (not healthy). The white makes it hard to see and remove wet spots. Odor control is disappointing. I give these a 3.5 for absorption and texture but lack of odor control. 5) Kaytee - This is basically shredded tissue paper. At first, I was so excited because it looked and felt like soft, fluffy snow. It did keep the guinea pigs fur and paws cleaner. Unfortunately, this stuff gets very messy on your carpet when its on its way to or away from the cage. The pieces are so thin and small and tend to fall all over the place. It also tends to clump together, making it difficult to separate the soiled spots from clean bedding. The white color makes it hard to see wet spots. Moreover, odor control and absorption are both disappointing. I can see liquid on the bottom of the cage under wet bedding. I give it a 2 for messiness and lack of absorption. After all these tries, I decided to go back to Aspen because my husband is always complaining about odor. Im planning to mix it with some Carefresh, as some people do, to improve absorption.
