> 3 day8 mil thickness (same as dynamat), super sticky adhesive side, easy to cut and shape. Covered the inside roof of my 56 Chev. I used a short, hard urethane roller and a medium firm long-handled roller to roll it out. Its a bit of work to roll it out over head, but it sure is good when its done. A noticeable difference in cabin temperature and noise. I will be buying more for the floor and doors. Great product and a great price.

21-11-2024Ive been aware of products like this, but never personally used any of them... Until now. This in combination with the Noico 315 Red did great things for a 1999 Dodge Ram 1500 4wd SLT. I covered the inside of all four of my doors with a layer of Kilmat 80 plus a layer of the Noico 315 insulation covering that. The interior side of all doors were completely covered with Kilmat 80, then finally the door panel got a layer of Kilmat 50 over about 60% of its surface. The roof and back wall got a layer of Kilmat 80 plus a layer of Noico 315. I live in the desert and highs in the 110s are a given during the summer. I know these products have improved the cabin environment substantially. Nothing but the sun blasting bare metal then various trim panels on that metal was stock fare in my truck. Im guessing a 10 to 15 degree decrease over stock. Right after I finished the doors I was waiting at a stop light. A trash truck was backing up about 100 away from me. Everyone knows the piercing backup warning beeper. That tone was muffled quite a bit. I havent done the firewall or floor yet. That can wait until the weather cools. My Focal Flax 6.5 components have always been enjoyable, but they sound much more lively than before. The sound system performance has been improved on every level. Highs, lows, mids...everything is better. Doors have a solid feel when closing now. These products are a system multiplier when used correctly. I believe its important as upgrading the various components in any system. A couple other things, I had zero issues with adhesion. This stuff sticks on a 100 degree day just fine! As far as odor. Yes there is a mild tar smell during installation. It dissipates after a couple days. A small, temporary price to pay, for the overall benefits.

> 3 dayInstalled in 2015 Corolla. Applied to doors all the floor rear deck spare tire well, and almost every piece of metal and it’s greatly reduced the rattle from bass now I just have to isolate the small parts around the car. This product is overall 5 stars. Easy to apply take the time to use a heat gun or leave the panels in the rear window during the day and they will peel and stick with ease. The warming up of the panel really helps when you need to rool them down. Do not forget to roll them out there are raised squares that need to be fooled out I forgot that and after it was way better once I rolled them out! My first kilmat sound dampening project and I will be buying some more for a future car or the hood well done Killmat

> 3 dayMy 2nd time using this 80 mil kilmat. First was a 2011 Camry (turned a Toyota into a Lexus. LOL). Put a nice system (Focal speakers, etc) in Camry…. Used the Kilmat inside the doors on the doors skins, under the door panels, trunk floor, trunk sides, trunk lid, license plate, behind and under back seat. It did a great job of isolating the interior from outside…. Knock on the door skins and it sounds like a thud instead of a ring; shut the doors with the music cranked and you barely hear it outside the car! And no rattles from the sub hitting. Now I’m doing a 2011 Tundra crewmax with a very high end system…. Focal utopia components, Focal K2 power components rear, focal flax series subs, Kenwood 1037 head,JL vx800i, JL XD600/1v2,etc Used kilmat inside doors, under door panels, behind rear seat, 4 coats of rubberized undercoating spray under cab, then used 1/4” closed cell foam (siless) over the top of all above listed locations (except outside under cab)… WOW! WHAT A DIFFERENCE! The kilmat isolates and dampens while the closed cell foam adds the acoustic deadening I was looking for. The undercoating sprayed under the cab of the truck added the damping and isolation under the truck without having to pull the seats and carpet to install kilmat.. The sound made from just shutting the doors makes it obvious how much better the listening environment is going to be. I have bought (3) boxes of kilmat 80 mil 36 sq ft, (2) boxes of siless closed cell foam, 3 pack of installation “rollers” …. About 300.00 Spend less on your components and do the above process first. You’ll get much more out of your audio equipment! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

15-11-2024Being the first time I have used this I didnt know what to expect. Was it going to be hard to install? Would I hear a sound improvement? I was watching videos of people installing it and they said to let it heat up in the sun. There is a point when it gets a bit to hot and it flops around and is super sticky. I was putting this in the door panels of a 2019 Honda Civic 2dr. Not a lot of room to work with and it wants to stick to every little thing it touches. Not a bad thing but just takes more care to get it in there. I did the bottom 2/3 of the doors. Now when you tap on the doors its just a thud. Overall sound from the stereo was improved. The low notes are now MUCH cleaner! The bass guitar sounds like a bass guitar and not just some humming low note. Same goes for the bass drum. Much more defined and musical. I cant say anything about noise reduction from outside the car yet because I just havent driven the car enough. So for under $50 its worth it in my opinion.

> 3 dayIts a good product. Am alternative to the dynamat. I only want to write this review because if the way most people use it is wrong. Its not supposed to cover the entirety of the interior panels. You apply this where there are large flat panels or where a piece of metal makes vibrations or resonates. There are more lightweight materials you can use for full coverage but if you add this everywhere its really just dead weight.

> 3 dayI used this on the rear deck of a 2019 acura tlx with a kicker 8 inch sub driven by 200 watts rms. The metal was flexing very badly and the noise from vibration was horrendous. One layer of killmat completely silenced it.
