> 3 dayi had an 8 year old hdd that was nearing its useful life limit and i wanted to upgrade......this kingston ssd was one of several possible solutions and i chose it because it benchtested quite a bit better than 4 others on my Acer with intel processor........i cloned the hdd onto the new ssd externally with a cable into a USB port and it took roughly 3 hours using free macrium reflect software which worked flawlessly........i found it best just to totally clone the entire old disc exactly and completely rather than fool around with deleting partitions and whatnot clevernesses.
