Gave one to all of my 4 grandsons for Christmas. They had just bought houses in the last several months that needed a lot of repairs. These come in handy when replacing receptacles, updating wiring etc. Christmas day I had all my receptacles checked when each were trying them out.

My house isnt grounded so it should show open ground all the time which is fine but I put an outlet backwards on purpose and it still read open ground and not reverse polarity.

I had taken off an outlet (and took before and during pictures to make sure I put it back together again), but was nervous to leave the power on to this outlet until I had this to confirm that I did it right.

Works great. Dont know why I didnt get a tester sooner.

Nice to know that your house wiring is done properly. This is easy to use and something every house should have.

This is just the right size! Accurate and I look having that extra bit of security when working with electricity. Used it to exchange out the standard wall outlet to one with USB-C and USB ports and it was perfect

Bought it to check my work. Found out someone else’s work wasn’t so good. Worth it.
