As an electrician service technician. This tool comes in handy. From just checking if a receptical is working, testing a GFCI, and finding a circuit from a panel. The signal lights are easy to see and easy to memorize what they mean. Its safe to use even for a homeowner. Not to mention, its Klein brand, which has been trusted for over 100 years.

Good little tool...must have IMO.

I bought and used this to test out the GFCI receptacles in an RV we were purchasing. I have heard horror stories about how new RVs can come wired wrong and such...this put all those worries to rest.

There is not a lot to these things, but its been bouncing around my tool bag and gets use everyday with no issue. I would recommend.

This is a simple device for a simple purpose, and it performs beautifully. I plan to mainly use this device to ensure that an outlet is dead after the breaker is turned off, but at this price the additional functionality is a bonus. I bought two, and they both work correctly. I didnt try to test everything, but I purposely mis-wired an outlet by swapping neutral and hot, and the problem was correctly identified. Id buy again.
