This is a beautiful bag. I was worried it might not be that great quality wise since it was so inexpensive, but it is REALLY nice. The inner dividers are padded to protect your laptop or tablet and the strap has a padded piece that moves to protect your shoulder from the buckle. I have the large iPad Pro and it barely fit with its keyboard case. Just an FYI. It took some creativity, but the bag was wide enough to get all my schoolbooks in it. I also love that it came with a cloth dust cover. Very nice touch. The bag is packaged very carefully with all the buckles covered and neatly folded to lay flat. Its the little things that let you know the manufacturer cares about the product as much as you do.

My initiation reaction to seeing this bag was quite literally Thats f***ing beautiful. It came in a what looks like a vintage laundry bag, taking a second to unwrap. After taking it out of the cover, I noticed the accuracy of the other reviews, stating that the leather is damp with the oils that were used to tan it, and itll need at least a few days to dry and then be broken in. After unlatching the buckles (I love that theyre actual functioning buckles, and not fake buckles like those on a K. Cole Reaction bag). It came with a letter printed on cloth from the producer on one side and on the back side it came with instructions on how to take care of the leather (Thats a rarity within itself these days.) The bag met up to my expectations. As both a student and a tutor, I carry more than the average student. My 14 laptop fits perfectly (I got the 15 bag for extra room though). I was worried about not having enough pockets, since no other reviews have pictures of the inside, but the bag came with 4 pen/pencils holders and two medium pockets on the inside and a medium pocket on the outside (and obviously the three zipper pockets - one inside and two outside, and two dividers on the inside) - enough to carry all my books, pens, markers, mouse and thumb drives and whatever the hell I need to carry to campus for the day. I knew instantly by looking at the craftsmanship that the bag was well design and built, using quality goat leather, strong rivets, buckles and hooks. The only thing that slightly confused me was the shoulder attachment. The strap came in two separate pieces that latch onto the hooks on the side of the bag, then attach to each other via a buckle in the middle. It took me a minute to figure out that the shoulder pad itself was attached to the opposite side and needed to be passed over the buckles to put into working position. It was user error on my side not thinking about how it worked. I love this bag & im happy I didnt end up buying a Samsonite or K. Cole Reaction. This has a lot more craftsmanship, personality and style. I would buy it again in my next life. 5/5.

This messenger bag is exactly what I wanted. The leather looks vintage and the bag is very well made. The shoulder strap is removable and adjustable which is good for me. The inside is roomy enough for a 15 apple laptop and a Microsoft Surface as well as a small 1 binder. The messenger bag comes shipped in another beautiful storage bag to protect it when not using it. Ive had lots of compliments on the messenger bag since I started using it. There is a minor odour when you open the bag up but in my opinion it smells somewhat like spices and is not offensive. If the odour bothers you, you may want to leave the bag out of the packaging for a day or two before use. All-in-all, it is a great messenger bag for an amazing price. Im 100% satisfied so far.

I was optimistic after reading the reviews prior to making this purchase. I was only a little concerned that I may receive a different bag than what was ordered, or a variation of what was described, based on some reviews. Particularly regarding the detachable shoulder strap. I got EXACTLY what I ordered though and am very happy about it. It, of course, had the expected leather aroma - which duh, its leather and was just packaged in plastic and a box and shipped across the country. This did dissipate over a few weeks and was never overpowering or offensive, to begin with. KPL did send a very nicely written letter with care instructions as well, which addresses that you should expect this. I do work from home and mostly purchased this bag for the occasions that I am working elsewhere or traveling back home and need to bring my laptop with me. I cant attest to sturdiness since I havent really put it to the test, but it appears to be sturdy at least. A lot of the reviews I read commented that they felt that there was a ton of space in the bag and listed three dozen objects they can fit into it at the same time.. I will say that there isnt as much space as a lot of reviewers have convinced themselves exist - but thats actually ok with me. If you add too much space, you just keep filling it up. This helps me keep the bag not overburdened with junk I dont need to carry. I purchased this particular bag because of the size of my laptop, and I will note that its a snug fit. But I prefer that as well because my laptop isnt getting tossed around as I walk or travel with it. One interesting construction note I had was that the buckles on the front flap of the bag arent actually the same. Theyre very similar, and nobodys going to notice but me unless I call attention to it. This is not at all a problem for me, and if anything I kind of like that it makes my bag unique for me. Overall, if you need an adult, professional appearing bag then this is an ideal purchase.

Thank you Komal Chaudhari for crafting such a beautiful product. The package arrived undamaged, thank you Amazon. The bag was not wrapped once but TWICE! 1st a clear plastic wrap then a thin cotton bag that I will keep for storage. Upon opening the bag I did notice a smell but not over powering like some of the previous reviews stated but lets face it, its a LEATHER bag. I never heard of someone saying a leather store stunk just because.. I was very impressed with the stitching right off the bat and I mean throughout the entire bag inside and out. For anyone who is looking at the other 30+ bags on Amazon save yourself the time and purchase a Komal Passion Leather bag for quality per price. I am very impressed with the bag as a whole. The bag did come with a detachable/adjustable strap for around the shoulders which is again... amazing craftsmanship. I want to thank the Passion Leather team and hat off to you Komal Chaudhari. P.S I appreciate the hand signed note and care instructions for the bag.

I have carried this bag to and from work for at least the past month, maybe two. It has held up so far as one would hope for a leather bag. First off, this bag came very dry and stiff, although it did seem like some kind of vegetable oil had been applied to it at some point, maybe just too little of it. The initial color was a light brown, even close to tan. I heated up some coconut oil and spent an hour or two rubbing it into the leather. It soaked it up like a starving child in Africa, and softened significantly, so it seems to have badly needed it. My attached images reflect the darker color that resulted, which I actually prefer. It became more of a reddish brown. The darker stain on the flap is just the result of a recent greasy hamburger accident. I assume it will lighten up again like the rest in a week or two. For the price, it appears to be rather well made. The stitching isnt perfect, but it isnt unsightly, even close up. The leather is supple once oiled properly. The canvas interior seems nice enough to me and the pockets/pen holders all seem to be well thought out and implemented. It fits my 13.3 work laptop, in a neoprene sleeve, perfectly with room to spare. In a pinch I often even stuff 2-3 Chromebooks inside with it. For those who have the compulsion to use a mouse, I imagine the front pocket would fit even a large mouse with some finagling. I do, however, have a few small gripes: 1) The brass/plated wire bracket that holds the strap on the top of the bag sometimes seems to break free of the leather and needs to be reinserted into it (I have included a picture). Maybe this is still a good balance between solid construction and easy disassembly for cleaning/oiling, but it bothered me enough to bring sturdiness to 3 out of 5 stars. 2) The keepers for the strap are not tight enough and just slide off of wherever you try to place them without doubling up the tail (I included a picture of how I got around this). 3) The shoulder pad is also fairly loose and will slide around wherever it likes until you go to shoulder the bag again. 3) Once adjusted to the shortest length possible, the bag still sits a little bit lower than I would like as I like to carry messenger bags in the small of my back, out of the way. Im around 62 and it still dangles down around my hips so I imagine the design did not intend on this sort of carrying method. I may try to punch another hole or two in the strap to make it just a bit shorter. 4) The buckle lies very close to the shoulder pad and may even end up beneath it on longer settings. Overall, this bag is worth the money in my opinion. Good for something you want to look good and still be functional, but cheap enough that you wont mind destroying over time with use/abuse. The classic-looking buckles, which can be used either just like traditional buckles, or as quick detach button clip, are convenient when youre in a rush. I have a leather messenger bag I reserve for my home gaming laptop that I paid at least twice as much for. You can tell that it is better made, out of better materials, but the fancy velvet-like interior is likely not as durable as the heavy duty canvas in this bag, and it cost too much to make tossing it casually around reasonable (which I suppose is a benefit when the laptop I carry within it cost me $1,500). This is a great work/backup bag.

Very happy with my purchase. Is it as nice as a $300-$500 bag? No. However, the quality greatly surpasses the $60 or so I paid for it. It’s a good looking bag and the leather is of more than decent quality. Also, there are plenty of compartments and it seems to be very well made. As for durability, I can’t say because i’ve only had it for 2 days, but it doesn’t appear to be a concern. In short, I wanted a nice vintage looking leather satchel for work at an affordable price and that’s what I got. p.s. communication from the seller seems to sincerely express their appreciation of my purchase

At first there was a mixed up with my order, sent it back and got the correct one, the problem was I wanted permanent buckle straps and I recieved buckles with snap buttons because the picture showed otherwise. Finally did get the correct one and been using it ever since. Love the bag, would definitely buy again if I had to.

This is a great bag in both looks and durability. I have the larger bag as well and continue to get compliments on both. They age beautifully! Would highly recommend to anyone - and have!!

Since the bag turned out to be WAY better than I had expected to get for the low price (and since there was a nice letter in the package explaining how much the business owner appreciates reviews), I wanted to show off some photos and gush about it . Description-wise, this bag is *exactly* what I was hoping for when I bought it. Super-sturdy leather and some kind of canvas inside that’s not overly abrasive. Just the right mix of great materials. The metal hooks and buckles are very high quality, so I doubt they’ll be breaking anytime soon under strain. They look like they would clunk and clang and squeak, but whatever they’re made of or polished with (magic? Probably magic), they are surprisingly noiseless. The bag is slender and on the smaller side, which makes it perfect sized for me (63 inches tall, female). My MacBook Air slid into laptop sleeve with enough space for wiggle room, but minimal space for jarring. In the pics I show about how many items fit comfortably inside, not counting the slim back pocket or two in the front. Overall, I seriously think this bag is a STEAL for the price. I had set my standards low, because it was an online order and I had to go off of the pictures and hope they were legit. Turns out to be an awesome decision. I was trying to compare a lot of similar looking ones when I made the purchase, and now I can definitely recommend this one! (Hope the pics help you all out with your decision to buy).
