I was skeptical but my plantar fasciitis has really been limiting my activity recently. I figured its worth a shot. I dont usually have much pain in the morning when I wake up but it progressively worsens throughout the day. I waited until it started to get to a point where I would start to slow down before I applied the tape. I watched the instructional video on their website for plantar fasciitis and almost instantly I felt some sort of relief. The kind of relief you feel as soon as you put a heating pad on a sore muscle. Its not what I was expecting but Ill take it. I have been going on about my day and have been cleaning the house with only mild pain. Usually I would be pretty tempted to stop because of the pain. It hasnt completely ridden me of pain but it does work. When Im not on my feet I can feel that same kind of relief that I felt when I first put it on. Only time will tell to see how well it hold up. I applied shortly after taking a shower to ensure my skin was as clean as it could be before application. I am hoping to get the minimum of 4 days of use out on one application. Otherwise it wont be cost effective to continuously use this but will defiantly always use it when I know Im going to be pretty active. The case makes it convenient to throw in a suitcase or backpack and make sure you have it with you and not worry about it getting damaged. Should I not get the expected usage period out of an application I will update my review. But for day one - Im glad I tried it. **UPDATE** 12/24/15 About 30 hours after applying the tape the edges started to peel significantly. I snipped the peeled back edges as close to my skin as I could to help further eliminate any catching or rolling of the ends further removing the tape. At 48 hours after application the tape on my right foot was peeling off so significantly that it couldnt be salvaged and needed to be removed. At 72 hours the left foot followed suit and needed to be removed. 3 days total, with only about 30 hours of solid, performance with no issues. I wore socks at night like instructed on the website. I was not particularly active, just going about my daily activities. I spend about 6 hours a day in my care commuting for work as well; so I imagine this isnt too rough on the tape. I showered before application and again shortly before the 30 hour mark. Tape was only subjected to 1 shower before it started to deteriorate in performance. I padded the tape dry, being careful not to run and cause the edges to lift. I will be downgrading my rating from 4 to 3 stars. This tape advertises 4-7 days of wear. I got 3, and even that is pushing it. On the plus side, it does help. It would be ideal for short term applications for days or sporting events where you know you will need it. Do not expect a week long application. I just dont see how thats possible. Bottom line: Buy it for the times when you will need it for a sporting event or strenuous activity as a one time use solution. It does work, but doesnt last nearly as long as the manufacturer claims. This is the KT pro tape which is supposed to last 4-7 days. They make another tape that is supposed to last 1-3 days and is a little cheaper. I may give that a go once I use up this roll since Im getting less than 2 days of use out of an application.

Im left handed and Ive torn my left rotator twice, along with my bicep. To get added support, I bought the KT tape. My thoughts were that with Kerri Walsh being a sponsor, it must be good stuff and Im not overjoyed with it. I had a hard time with this and wasted 5 of the 20 strips trying to get it to stick. To place it for rotator support, its very difficult to place yourself and the tape has a tendency to slingshot back when trying to apply it. It sticks to itself great but it didnt stick well to my skin. Because I paid $15 for the roll, Ill use what I have left, as best I can but I wont rebuy this brand. ** UPDATE 10-08-2017 ** KT immediately contacted me after my review was published and as you can see from their response, offered tips and tricks. Additionally, they offered to replace the roll at no charge. I gladly took them up on this offer and they shipped the replacement roll, free of charge, immediately. The tips and tricks did help but I still have trouble getting this on myself (because of my injury location), but its no fault of KT. My suggestion to you is that if you have a rotator cuff injury that youre trying to support, have someone else put the tape on for you. The instructions inside the package will also give you a picture of how to apply it correctly for that particular injury location. ** Update 2 *** It will help you out tremendously if you buy some alcohol prep pads, which are very inexpensive. Ive found that by wiping down the area with a prep pad and letting it dry, before I apply the KT tape, makes a huge difference. The tape seems to go on better and adhere to the skin better, in addition to easier removal when youre read to take it off. ** Update 3 ** Ive updated my review to a 5 star rating. I dont know if KT has improved the adhesive on their product or if the big difference was made by me learning to apply it correctly. Whatever the situation, this stuff REALLY sticks. Before I apply it, I just pour some alcohol on a paper towel and wipe down the area thoroughly, before letting it dry or wiping it down with another paper towel. Theres no danger of this stuff coming off and Id suggest when you remove it, that you do so in the shower. If you pull it too quickly - like a band-aid, youre gonna pull skin. In my opinion, the precut strips are the way to go and heres a tip: When you start to put them on, peel the backing back only about one inch. This will allow you to get it started without it flopping back and sticking it on itself or on your hands and from there, just slowly remove the backing as you move along the area that youre applying it too. Once Ive started it, I just hold the backing tape with my thumb and index finger and Im moving it along my arm and shoulder. When you get the technique down, its easy to apply yourself (unless youre putting it on your back). KT Tape has been a tremendous help to me. Ive reordered three times and will continue to do so in the future.

About six years ago I was having problems with my plantar fasciitis and my pt recommended KT tape. I watched YouTube videos, bought some on Amazon, used it and it really helped. Recently Ive been having problems again. I bought some more. It doesnt stick like it used to. I used to wear it through showers, for a couple days. Now I put it on at night and its loose by the morning. It wont last through a shower at all. I shower at night, scrub my feet clean so its going on a completely clean surface. It helps, but where it used to last at least 3 days now it lasts 6 hours at most.

I tried the KT Tape a while back for minor issues and really couldnt tell the difference. I threw my back out a month ago, babied it, forgot I had the KT Tape. Back got better very slowly, then finally was all better...until I tried to drag a 50 pound mat. Oops. Back went out and I was back to square one, which meant I could barely walk and sitting and laying down werent too comfy either. I remembered the KT Tape this time, put it on the wrong way, and it still made an instant difference in the pain. I didnt expect it to work as I was walking out of the bathroom right after applying it! Im still using a heating pad and a little ice, but hoping I dont have a 4 week recovery period again, and that I can sit at my desk and work. Thank you KT Tape!

Both the household members tried this. I broke my arm a few months ago and my PT put this type of tape on me and it worked great. I bought this one for my BF because he has extreme shoulder pain everyday all day. I told him to let me put this tape on and did the criss cross thing and he was amazed that the pain subsided greatly and immediately!
