KYY Portable Monitor 15.6inch 1080P FHD USB-C Laptop Monitor HDMI Computer Display HDR IPS Gaming Monitor w/Premium Smart Cover & Speakers, External Monitor for Laptop PC Mac Phone PS4 Xbox Switch

I purchased this monitor to use as an extended monitor for my ASUS C214 Chromebook out in my barn. This monitor included all the cables (I thought!) I needed. I first connected the USB-C cable to one of the two identical USB-C ports on the laptop. Both USB-C ports on the laptop supposedly will handle the video according to ASUS. Nothing. With a lot of confusing information out there, I went ahead and purchased this Anker 7-1 USB Hub with HDMI https://amazon.com/gp/product/B07ZVKTP53/ as I would need a third USB-C to connect an ethernet adapter anyway. I powered the hub with the laptop power USB-C and then tried the HDMI mini to HDMI cable that came with the monitor. Nothing. I was ready to send all back as there was no way to determine if the hub was bad, or a bad HDMI cable, or a bad USB-C cable. I spent an inordinate amount of time googling for some answers, and found an old, locked google support page. The OP had an external monitor that suddenly stopped working. With no help from anyone, the OP stumbled upon hooking up another HDMI external monitor that somehow un-borked the setup and allowed the original monitor to work again. I tried the same thing, dragging a HUGE dell monitor out to the barn where I was using the Chromebook. Plugged the HDMI cable into the port on the Anker 7-1 hub, and it miraculously was recognized by my Chromebook. I then plugged in this monitor with the HDMI-mini adapter cable that was included to the Anker hub, and it then started working. I also tried it with the USB-C cable, it now worked. I did have some problems with my mouse pointer getting stuck on the extended monitor and not being able to get back to the laptop monitor. Not sure how I re-arranged the monitors in the Chromebook settings, but it eventually operated properly. If you buy this, expect some finagling to get it to work. The monitor looks OK, it could be brighter IMO. The menu functions dont always seem to do anything. But Im done messing with it. I hope it continues to work.

Ive had this screen for a couple months now and just noticed it has a high pitched squeal. I doubt it will stop me from continuing use of the screen but it is certainly noticeable and annoying to sensitive ears. The screen itself is nice and seems to have held up past the return date. I am hoping to get a lot more use out of it.

In terms of design, construction and portability I have to say that the device feels well built from corner to corner, as the case is built in an aluminum unibody (apparently). I have no doubt that this device could withstand moderate drops or impacts. Its design is quite suitable, so that it doesnt take up a lot of space when carrying it. And speaking of carrying, it weighs just under 2 pounds, which collectively checks all the boxes for practicality. Brightness has been quite adequate for me, since I have my studio in a fairly bright room and so far I have not had the need to increase the brightness above 70%. The image quality is FullHD at 60Hz which is not remarkable, but not bad either. However, I have to say that I had my doubts about image lag, since I had seen some reviews of other similar products and people were continually complaining about this aspect, which had me very concerned about. After having run several tests with my PS4 and computers, I can say that the aspect of lag is practically unnoticeable to me. In conclusion, this seems to me to be a very solid product, taking into account its price and the options available in that range. -- En cuanto a diseño, construcción y portabilidad tengo que decir que el dispositivo se siente bien construido por de esquina a esquina, ya que la carcasa está construida en un solo cuerpo de aluminio (aparentemente). No tengo duda de que este dispositivo podría soportar caídas o impactos moderados, además de que su diseño es bastante adecuado para que no ocupe mucho espacio al cargarlo. Y hablando de cargarlo, su peso de poco menos de 2 libras, lo cual resulta en conjunto que coteja todas las casillas necesarias en cuanto a practicidad. Brillo ha sido mas que suficiente para mí, ya que tengo mi estudio en un cuarto bastante iluminado y hasta el momento no he tenido la necesidad de aumentar el brillo por encima del 70%. La calidad de imagen es FullHD a 60Hz lo cual no es destacable, pero tampoco malo. Sin embargo, debo decir que tenía mis dudas en cuanto a retraso de la imagen con respecto a las entradas, ya que había visto algunas revisiones de otros productos y las personas se quejaban continuamente de este aspecto, cosa que me había preocupado mucho. Después de haber realizado varias pruebas, puedo decir que el aspecto del retraso es prácticamente imperceptible para mí. En conclusión, este me parece un producto muy sólido, tomando en cuenta su precio y las opciones disponibles en ese rango.

I have been carrying this monitor around for a year at college. I keep it in a thin protective sleeve (some sort of foam) along with books and notepads in my backpack. It looks just as good today as Id did out of the box. I appreciate the magnetic protector that doubles as a stand. A single USB C cable provides power and video (via thunderbolt 4). It works great for zoom, PowerPoint, Excel, etc... I can not speak to its gaming or content creation properties. I am a happy customer and recommend this monitor for the college student needing a second monitor.

Very impressed with the build quality and stand of this portable monitor. The wife and I both work remote and use this with MacBook Pros via the USB-C cable. True plug and play, powers up instantly. Both HDMI, USB-A to C, and USB-C to C are included. Just understand that using the HDMI cable will require that you also provide the monitor with a power source (e.g. included wall adapter, USB-Cable, etc.). The refresh rate is smooth at 60Hz and 1080p at 15.6 screen looks great. This is a great buy and we own 2 of them. Strong recommend here!

I needed a good monitor to connect to a Raspberry Pi. After trying several different more formal monitors with stands I came across this one. It was less expensive than most of the others so I gave it a try. Im so glad I did. It is terrific. The color and resolution is excellent, and it works perfectly for my intended purpose. Ive been using it for several years now and have absolutely no complaints. All praise for the great quality. Id buy it again in a heat beat.

Full disclosure this is my second monitor from KYY as my first one broke. However, KYY was very generous in helping me resolve my issue and replace the damaged monitor. The monitor visuals are fantastic, and it is an extremely handy option to have as I primarily work remote and need a second monitor for when I am hot-desking around the company sites. Very useful, great picture, very convenient. Extremely useful for co-op video game nights as the monitor can be powered completely by an Xbox or similar, meaning a great small footprint in a couch gaming night. Very impressed by the KYY team in their customer service and product.

This was really easy to use. My laptop now has a double screen when Im traveling and writing. Its sleek style and thin.

During the pandemic, I started working from home everyday and my office was eventually given up by my employer so my entire dept. is fully WFH now. I enjoyed working outside but could only do it for so long since I generally need a 2nd screen as I work with a lot of spreadsheets with many columns doing financial analysis. When I discovered these USB powered monitors I gave it a shot and its made me able to work outside whenever I want. Overall I love this monitor and would recommend it. The price is good, it works right out of the box with ease, it comes with all the necessary adapters, and the case work great. I work mainly with spreadsheets and #s so a super sharp screen isnt necessary so I cant comment how well this does for gaming or video but for financial work, I find it more than adequate. Just 1 criticism: the screen isnt super bright so on a bright sunny day you could have issues. Its not unusable by any means but not quite as bright as what youd get from an iPad or premium laptop. Im sure theres other monitors that can provide superior brightness.

We use this monitor for our outdoor cameras and it is great. Nice clear picture!!!
