I love this unit. Have had it for about two months now and Im always finding new uses for it. It works great to take on camping trips - just plug your phone in, and you can have a movie night. Need a second monitor for working at home? Just one cable plugs into my Macbook Pro for power and signal and Im off to the races. I have raspberry pis all over the house, and now I dont have to move them to debug them - I can just plug in this monitor wherever they are, plug in a wireless mouse/keyboard combo and Im fixing them. And then the main reason I bought this - I have a tablet holder and place this screen right above my Rane One (DJ controller) for when Im DJing - so my laptop can live off to the right in case I need a mouse and keyboard to download a song real quick - but right in front of me is just a screen and my DJ controls. The brightness leave a little to be desired, but the quality seems to be good. A good USB-C thunderbolt/displayport cable can set you back $50+ alone and this unit appears to have come with a good one. I can also use the HDMI and power ports for older electronics. I know there are a lot of similar options on Amazon for a monitor like this. All I can say it that for a brand Ive never heard of, this unit is really cool and I havent had any issues as of yet.

Great product—great size for travel and relatively good picture. Given the cost, it’s really good overall. It’s nice that it comes with multiple wire options as well for plugging into your laptop or other device. The only issues I have is that there’s no volume control or way to adjust the brightness on the screen that I can find. Additionally, the magnets on the case are pretty weak.

I am greatly impressed by KYYs commitment to customer service. My experience with the original monitors power-up issue occurred just after the 1 year warranty had expired, so I had not contacted KYY directly about a replacement. Upon seeing my review they reached out, and once it was clear that the monitor was having problems receiving power (NOT a cable issue), they offered to send me a new monitor! It came so quickly that I was not back yet from a vacation, so I was only able today to plug in the new monitor and it was a seamless plug and play. I love my HP Spectre laptop, but it is a more compact size, and when I work in my outside office in the summer I really need the extra screen real estate that the KYY monitor provides. Since the HP Spectre has thunder ports (Type C - full function ports) I am able to use that quickest and easiest method to both power and send signal to the KYY external monitor. I have attached pictures showing the KYY Type C full function port with connector (provided by KYY) and a picture of that cable plugged into my computer. As soon as the connection was complete the KYY logo came up and then immediately my main computer screen was mirrored. My final picture shows both simultaneously with the KYY Monitor as a second screen. Based on the customer service follow-up I would definitely recommend this monitor, and the company that makes it. ------------------------------------- First Review: This was my first (and perhaps only!) portable monitor Ive ever purchased and I was pleased by the plug-and-play set up and picture quality. After a few months however the HDMI connector into the monitor, which was a common USB socket, became loose and it was difficult to keep the connection. Any slight motion that moved the cord and the connection was lost. But later that year I bought a new computer with a thunder-port and this summer when I needed the external monitor I plugged it in that way and everything worked great! Unfortunately the next day when I plugged my computer in the exact same way the monitor was not showing the signal, and instead gave me a power saving error message before it shut down. After extensive troubleshooting and referencing the manual and user questions on Amazon I concluded that it was a power issue - the monitor was not getting power through the thunderport. I tried various methods, from using the separate power cable plugged into my computer, to plugging into an outlet directly. When nothing worked, I used the tech support email listed in the manual (and here on Amazon) [email protected], and send a description of my problem, asking for any assistance they could offer on a solution. Over two weeks later and I havent received any response. Not even a were busy and will get back to you later automatic email. So. Anybody want a nice looking doorstop in the original packaging? selling it cheap.

March 2, 2023: update: great customer service! They reached out to me based on my Feb 12th review and replaced the product without and hassle. I haven’t tried out the replacement yet, but fingers crossed! Feb 12, 2023: This monitor was GREAT!... for 6 months. Then it started glitching - it would connect and disconnect every 10 seconds or so, sending my computer into a confusing spin of jumping screens. So right around the time that the warranty ended, so did the monitors functionality.

Very impressed with the build quality and stand of this portable monitor. The wife and I both work remote and use this with MacBook Pros via the USB-C cable. True plug and play, powers up instantly. Both HDMI, USB-A to C, and USB-C to C are included. Just understand that using the HDMI cable will require that you also provide the monitor with a power source (e.g. included wall adapter, USB-Cable, etc.). The refresh rate is smooth at 60Hz and 1080p at 15.6 screen looks great. This is a great buy and we own 2 of them. Strong recommend here!

The monitor exceeded my expectations for the price. The ability to work with my different PC’s has increased my productivity. Product support has been excellent; support proactively reached out by email before my product arrived. The monitor provides extended mode with my Surface Book 2 and Surface 5 Pro. The USB-C (Thunderbolt) cable from the monitor plugs directly to my Book’s USB-C socket offering a single cable solution. The USB-C cable provided with the monitor is full function and any alternative USB-C must support Thunderbolt as noted by a thunderbolt symbol next to the monitor’s USB-C socket. A USB-C power delivery (PD) charging cable may not work. I needed to use the HDMI cable from the monitor to my Surface 5 Pro and iPad Pro. The Surface Pro has only a mini-DisplayPort so an adapter (mini-DP to HDMI socket) is required. The iPad Pro’s USB-C port can connect directly with the USB-C cable from the monitor; but I was hesitant to use this configuration for a long period since it drains the iPad battery. So with the iPad Pro I used a USB-C hub with an open HDMI socket in the iPad and the HDMI cable from the monitor; the hub provides power via a DC USB-C input. Each time the HDMI cable is used on the monitor power needs to be supplied by the USB-C power input on the monitor. Though I can only use the iPad with the monitor in mirror mode, it does provide a wider screen for viewing videos. The speaker on the monitor is ok, but is not of the audio quallity coming from the PC. I selected the audio from the PC when listening for a long period. The brightness and clarity of the display has been good for text and great for pictures and video.. The OSD seems finicky; it may be me turning the wheel while pushing to select. The magic cover is adequate, but needed to be setup per the instructions with the front flap folded back toward the monitor to help keep the monitor from sliding down. The cover makes it easy to pack the monitor and move. What I needed was a monitor that can be used on my different PC platforms and is portable. This KYY monitor provides me an good cost effective solution. The customer support has been excellent; they quickly addressed a hardware problem. They responded within a day given the time difference. They reached out before dellivery of the monitor giving me a contact should problem arises and comfort that they tend to satisfy.

Ill be honest, Ive had this portable monitor for a few weeks and Im still kind of learning it. I think I need to do some more tweaking to maximize the display. I dont really care about the sound part. I did use some leftover laptop cover to hide the large KYY on the bottom of the monitor (personal preference). I found a great & cheap stand to help it in my specific placement. My largest piece of advice for this monitor is to get either different USB-C cord, or some right angle adapters (which I did). The USB-C to USB-C cord provided works fine (its the only one I have needed so far), but I have limited space, so it took too much to have them sticking out so far. You can see in my pics how much space I saved by using the USB right angle adapters.

Good monitor for the price, if I were to make a complaint it would be it doesnt have its own onboard battery, so youd have to power it with the included power brick and usb c cable. other than that its a good little mo nitro I use everyday for work since I got it.

This is 200% better than the one I’m returning from big box store. No yellow glow on screen and crazy easy to set up. (1) Plug into power and (2) plug into source device. The stand/cover is awesome and can be adjusted to several angles. I’m traveling to visit a friend and need to get some 2-screen work done. This will do the trick!!!
