I bought this for my wife to use when she goes to her WeWork office. Setup is super easy and it comes with everything needed to connect it. As long as your laptop has a thunderbolt connector, you do NOT need to use the included AC adapter. Picture, size, and screen quality are all great for work related tasks. The included cover and light weight make transporting it easy...she can just drop it in her laptop bag along with her other stuff to go from home to office.

I am greatly impressed by KYYs commitment to customer service. My experience with the original monitors power-up issue occurred just after the 1 year warranty had expired, so I had not contacted KYY directly about a replacement. Upon seeing my review they reached out, and once it was clear that the monitor was having problems receiving power (NOT a cable issue), they offered to send me a new monitor! It came so quickly that I was not back yet from a vacation, so I was only able today to plug in the new monitor and it was a seamless plug and play. I love my HP Spectre laptop, but it is a more compact size, and when I work in my outside office in the summer I really need the extra screen real estate that the KYY monitor provides. Since the HP Spectre has thunder ports (Type C - full function ports) I am able to use that quickest and easiest method to both power and send signal to the KYY external monitor. I have attached pictures showing the KYY Type C full function port with connector (provided by KYY) and a picture of that cable plugged into my computer. As soon as the connection was complete the KYY logo came up and then immediately my main computer screen was mirrored. My final picture shows both simultaneously with the KYY Monitor as a second screen. Based on the customer service follow-up I would definitely recommend this monitor, and the company that makes it. ------------------------------------- First Review: This was my first (and perhaps only!) portable monitor Ive ever purchased and I was pleased by the plug-and-play set up and picture quality. After a few months however the HDMI connector into the monitor, which was a common USB socket, became loose and it was difficult to keep the connection. Any slight motion that moved the cord and the connection was lost. But later that year I bought a new computer with a thunder-port and this summer when I needed the external monitor I plugged it in that way and everything worked great! Unfortunately the next day when I plugged my computer in the exact same way the monitor was not showing the signal, and instead gave me a power saving error message before it shut down. After extensive troubleshooting and referencing the manual and user questions on Amazon I concluded that it was a power issue - the monitor was not getting power through the thunderport. I tried various methods, from using the separate power cable plugged into my computer, to plugging into an outlet directly. When nothing worked, I used the tech support email listed in the manual (and here on Amazon) [email protected], and send a description of my problem, asking for any assistance they could offer on a solution. Over two weeks later and I havent received any response. Not even a were busy and will get back to you later automatic email. So. Anybody want a nice looking doorstop in the original packaging? selling it cheap.

This portable monitor was very nice. However, I did not like the buttons on it and decided to go with the upgraded version instead which included a cover case and volume buttons on the side.

This just arrived and I immediately tested my Nintendo Switch in dock mode. Works fine. Then I moved on to my Xbox series S. Works fine, 1080p. No issues with screen resolution. Case is nice and is functional. Removed one star because the speakers are quiet.

I bought two of these monitors for travel. I have a 17.3 in laptop and wanted to replace my sidetrak. I have poor vision and want clear images and the ability to enlarge. I also really like to use two monitors with my laptop so I have three screen. It has a small footprint-very like an iPad and two together were still smaller and lighter than my laptop. I have no issues with the monitor falling off the stand/cover. I did have an issue with connecting the second monitor. I reached out to customer support and they responded very quickly and helped me problem solve. The final issue was that my laptop doesn’t have USB-C and I was trying to use an adaptor to connect the second monitor (the first I plugged into the regular USB spot. Kathy from customer support asked me to verify if the adapter could handle visual data. It turns out that it did not. In fact, I was unable to find one that did. (I was unable to find one that could) I ended up getting an HDMI splitter to create a secondary HDMI port and now it works. Via email, Kathy walked me through several options until I got it up and running responding to each email I sent in less than 24 hours. The monitor is so clear that I’m going to use One to replace an existing monitor in my office.

I just needed something portable with good picture quality to do my design work away from home. Im not a gamer, but this works perfect for what I need. I had another portable monitor for a couple years and it gave me problems from day one, but so far this one is just up and running right away and working great.

March 2, 2023: update: great customer service! They reached out to me based on my Feb 12th review and replaced the product without and hassle. I haven’t tried out the replacement yet, but fingers crossed! Feb 12, 2023: This monitor was GREAT!... for 6 months. Then it started glitching - it would connect and disconnect every 10 seconds or so, sending my computer into a confusing spin of jumping screens. So right around the time that the warranty ended, so did the monitors functionality.

The screen is exactly what I expected it to be. Great image quality and easy to use. I am using it as a portable second monitor to help while working outside the office.

Full disclosure this is my second monitor from KYY as my first one broke. However, KYY was very generous in helping me resolve my issue and replace the damaged monitor. The monitor visuals are fantastic, and it is an extremely handy option to have as I primarily work remote and need a second monitor for when I am hot-desking around the company sites. Very useful, great picture, very convenient. Extremely useful for co-op video game nights as the monitor can be powered completely by an Xbox or similar, meaning a great small footprint in a couch gaming night. Very impressed by the KYY team in their customer service and product.

Purchased this after a colleague pulled a similar one out at a work meeting and found it to be possibly an invaluable tool for collaboration. It looks nice, well packaged, sleek, but it really falls short in picture quality. I dont know what it is, but it doesnt seem to actually output correct resolution - it shows up in Windows as 1080P but it is certainly not displaying as 1080P. When you change the setting, it seems to want to try to be, but then reverts back to something worse than 720P - even being worse than the native 1366x768 on my built in laptop screen. Text looks fuzzy and my guess is that if I spent a significant amount of time looking at it - Id probably get a headache. For the amount of time Ill be using it - I might just make do - but it aint great.
